I will admit, Margots Harley voice seems a lot "stronger" this time around compared to how she sounded in Suicide Squad. Like she's was from Brooklyn, NY in SS but in BOP she's like from deep Long Island, NY lol
DC is saved!
Margot herself looks noticeably older, and that works really great for what they're aiming for, like a true "coming of age" of harley Quinn. No media has explored that so I'm all for it.I will admit, Margots Harley voice seems a lot "stronger" this time around compared to how she sounded in Suicide Squad. I'm all for it in any case 😁Margot herself looks noticeably older, and that works really great for what they're aiming for, like a true "coming of age" of harley Quinn. No media has explored that so I'm all for it.
Loved the trailer. Always expected it to be about HQ. The end of trailer stinger joke actually got me. Perfect HQ
Did Philips actually say comedy is dead? Because it's not in the quote but it's in the title
"Go try to be funny nowadays with this woke culture," he says. "There were articles written about why comedies don't work anymore—I'll tell you why, because all the fucking funny guys are like, 'Fuck this shit, because I don't want to offend you.' It's hard to argue with 30 million people on Twitter. You just can't do it, right? So you just go, 'I'm out.' I'm out, and you know what? With all my comedies—I think that what comedies in general all have in common—is they're irreverent. So I go, 'How do I do something irreverent, but fuck comedy? Oh I know, let's take the comic book movie universe and turn it on its head with this.' And so that's really where that came from."
So he doesn't actually say comedy is dead
And they all got rightfully criticized for itSo he doesn't actually say comedy is dead
He's saying the same thing Bill Burr said on his Netflix special but just not in front of an audience during standup. Even Chapelles last special was all about the same thing basically
Did they? I thought people loved the Burr special. Anyway, I was just looking for the quote to specifically say death of comedy
Let it be an original film and not BoP and the same people slamming it would be all over it.I feel like the costume thing is the next bullshit they use to slam DC movies now that Snyders gone.
If it wasn't in the quoted text or article then of course the title was used to lure people in and it worked.Did they? I thought people loved the Burr special. Anyway, I was just looking for the quote to specifically say death of comedy
I honestly don't understand how people can think this. Every single DC media (tv, cartoon, movies) has the characters in their outfits. Why would they think it's a thing, if, and that's a big if BoP strays from that?I feel like the costume thing is the next bullshit they use to slam DC movies now that Snyders gone.
They will never accept DC movies as long as it isn't some Marvelized, kid friendly comedy. It's too "edgy"I feel like the costume thing is the next bullshit they use to slam DC movies now that Snyders gone.
Pretty sure it's just tribalism. They will never accept DC movies as long as it isn't some Marvelized, kid friendly comedy. It's too "edgy"

It's that too

Huge DC fan here.
I'm just disappointed at the general aesthetic of BOP. It's that simple.
I'm sure they will since Harley is a much much more popular character.I wonder how they'll promote BOP from here on out. Hoping they do better than they did Shazam ☹
I'm assuming it will be better by virtue of BoP being a WB main studios movie and not a New Line Cinema movie like Shazam.I wonder how they'll promote BOP from here on out. Hoping they do better than they did Shazam ☹
That's where I'm at. There's a style to it, but nothing else is grabbing me. Then again, there really isn't much to go on.
Yup, its just more of Suicide Squad's that was already unpopular besides Harley herself.Huge DC fan here.

This is also what happens when you let directors have full control over their movies. DC should've stepped in for certain things and said, "No, Black Mask needs to wear his mask".
I'm just parroting what I've heard. I don't know for sure if he doesn't have it. But those leaks that came out seem to line up with what we've been seeing.I mean....so people have seen the movie and know that he doesn't have his mask at all? The events of the movie, could lead up to him wearing it.
Honestly, it's a 2min trailer, and people are acting like they've seen it already.
BoP trailer was fire so we winninBetween Todd Phillips comments and that Birds of Prey trailer, DC can't catch a break this week lol
