It's the gift that keeps on giving. I haven't tried all the DLC after I finished the game but I'll make sure to hop on and try something when I have a shorter backlog.

I'm going to install this game again to play around with the new features and game content. That BB tank is nice! I've shelved the game since I got the Platinum, but now I really feel the itch again. Time to kill some hordes.

Days Gone is one part of my Tripple-D GOTY list. Death Stranding, Disco Elysium and Days Gone. I can't decide which one I like the most, so the trinity is my GOTY 2019.

I'm tired of zombies, but for $20 I decided to give this a try. Looks like it got a lot of improvements.

This game is fucking intense lmao

Saw a horde of 150-200 zombies. I'm no where near prepared for them so I try to sneak away but there is also this NERO station near me and I want those upgrades and lore bits.

So I cut off all the alarms before activating it, get the station online right under the hordes nose, and what you know, I had forgotten one alarm lol
Got the upgrade and ran away to my bike as 200 zombies where running towards me hahaha

I have no idea how can I even go back to that location anymore.

I love the little puzzle elements to the Nero checkpoints

Yea I love that aspect of the nero checkpoints. Some of the checkpoint spots are evil if you miss an alarm.

Lol yeah some of them are in evil locations with hordes just right around the corner. Also some of the speakers are hard to spot.

I think I should finally get this game.

It's in sale at 40e on EU PSN, I don't know if I could find it cheaper used in a store or smthg.

Go for it if you enjoyed games like this.
I sure do, I initially got burned on this one because I played a pre build at PGW before release and it was rough, but I see that it is much better now so I'll go for it :)
Still think it will end up as a ps+ game someday, which is why I try to find it really cheap right now

Any way to see where the nests in each zone are or do you have to just manually find them? It's happened to me a couple of times now that I find all the nests besides the last one so the area is still full of freakers.

Clear out Ambush camps an find the bunkers then that stuff will be marked on your map but you have to find those as well.

This is so weird.

This game is like... honestly the story thus far has been slice of life, but a life in this crazy world overrun by zombies and it's so fun and interesting to be here. To see the camps and learn about the world and run away from a horde and have them come to an ambush camp and kill your enemies for you. Or seeing how these camps are treating their people like shit. And most of all just knowing how Deacon and what Sarah meant to him or knowing who is Boozer to him and all of that.

It's just so fascinating and there is a hint of an overarching story so you are not left hanging, thinking "is this all you have to offer?"

It's like the game is telling you to take a knee as EZA would say, that we will get to more important stuff but for now, live in this world and get to know its characters.

I just really like it.

The plot definitely does take a turn and become more Story-driven once you reach the third camp. The first two camps unfortunately end up underdeveloped by comparison.

Yea, I'm waiting for that turn tbh from the bits that they've shown of the overall story, but for now I'm actually enjoying this.

Just hopefully the later chapters will give me the same freedom I have now and don't go too linear.

I really like how a big chunk of the game story is just "I need to help my friend." I really do, it's a refreshing contrast to the plot arcs of most games where there has to be immediate and constant escalation.

Did they ever add alternative outfits for him in all the patches?

I would love an actual leather jacket/pants look. Go for mad Max vibes

Been playing this nonstop when I get free moments the last few days. I really thought I had sort of soured on open-world games, but this has proven otherwise.

Its just that this is delivering enough mechanical engagement with the slow progression climb and its desire to not overwhelm with bloat and instead maintain focus. It ends feeling a bit more linear than the checklist design of other titles(even if this also has its own regional checklist) but it really is trying to keep its flow in check. It's appreciated.

Shooting feels sublime. Great feedback and feel. The motion aim is a huge bonus! Oh and its gorgeous. Easily the most noticeably impressive HDR experience I've had yet.

This game completely stole me away from everything else I have been playing or wanted to play this holiday weekend. Thumbs up from me so far(just made it to 3rd camp).

A tip for those doing the Nero checkpoints. You can turn off the generator after turning it on and realizing there is still one speaker you haven't shot. It will attract the horde still but you can escape and return if you cannot deal with the horde.

Leaving it on will keep them coming around the checkpoint everytime you pass by.

One thing I hope they don't do that that uncharted did multiple times with sequels is
have deacon and sarah break up or have some lame cliche conflict like that. It was annoying with uncharted 2 and especially 3, and they almost did it in 4. Just let them not have problems now that they are together again

OH SHIT. How did I miss the NG+ news?

Once I wrap up my adventure with Sam on DS, I will jump right back on DG to give those freakers the what-for :D

How can you change the skin of your bike? I've unlocked a couple but don't see any option for it in the first two camps. Do I have to get to the third camp first?

To apply a special custom skin (paint) visit a mechanic in one of the camps in the game world.

From the menu, select Paint and Decals.

Then press the R2 button to switch to special Custom Accents.

I see.

I did go to Manny but couldn't find that option. Thanks man.

Been waiting for this to go on sale (physical) but the BF deals in NZ weren't that great, hopefully Boxing Day sales prove otherwise.

One of most used trope in films too.

Hey the first movie was happy ending, they got together, but wtf the sequel??? Separated/divorced again!?

I cleared my first horde infestation last night, and really got into it. I probably spent half an hour or so trying to be as stealthy as possible.

Days Gone is a lot better then it's given credit for. Once I wrap up Outer Worlds, I'm going to try and give it more play time.
