Regarding the discussion about hit reaction in this game, I think we have to distinguish between two apects of hit reaction:
The actual hit reaction from every npc when being shot at is pretty top notch: they stumble, get knocked back, they stagger, etc.
The real problem is that the blood and gore effects feel seemingly broken, as if they work with a rng system.
Yesterday for example I fought 4 Freakers only using my melee weapon and beheaded all of them, then I fought a horde and I got
this feeling of shooting air because there was no blood splatter in many occassions.
So, I really hope this is fixable and not a ressource problem, because that would be indeed pretty bad.
I also hope that survival mode disables the crosshair kill reaction (turning red on a kill) or does hard mode already do that?
No it's in hard mode also.
