So far is because we all know DS is gonna set new records!!

Below are the best-selling games of H1 2019. Only four are actually 2019 releases (and one of those is a remake of a 1998 title).
  1. Grand Theft Auto V (361,312)
  2. FIFA 19 (360,588)
  3. Tom Clancy's The Division 2 (263,520)
  4. Red Dead Redemption 2 (259,931)
  5. Resident Evil 2 (239,495)
  6. Days Gone (229,182)
  7. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege (175,451)
  8. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 (172,065)
  9. Anthem (165,746)
  10. Forza Horizon 4 (144,790)

Major props to Bend and Sony for yet another great game.

Some additional info

In total, UK consumers spent £3.3 billion on games, music and video from January to June -- meaning the £1.56 billion taken by games accounts for 47% of all money spent.

Games showed the least growth, with spend only rising by 1%, but remains the entertainment powerhouse.

Digital sales were the biggest driver, with revenues up 2.4% year-on-year to £1.38 billion. That's more than the £1.07 billion spent on both physical and digital video combined.
Physical games revenue, however, slipped by 8.5%, down to £184.9 million. However, this was the least dramatic decline across all entertainment sectors, with music downloads dropping the most, down 26.1%.

Boxed games sales are also still above music's £138.8 million (down 13.8% year-on-year), but fell behind video's £215.8 million (down 23.3%).

There really has been a lack of big games releasing this year.

Re2 started the year with such a high, this really is the calm before the next gen storm

I'm still shocked that Sony hasn't given WW numbers for this. By all accounts it did really well in every territory.

"New IP" and "2019" make for rather restrictive criteria. 6th-best-selling game of the year seems like a more impressive accomplishment.

Well deserved, it might have been rough around the edges and the story needed tightening up but it still turned out to be good. Taking on the massive hordes and riding around on the bike was brilliant fun.

Hopefully Bend learned a lot making this and the sequel can fix the issues and make it a really great PS5 exclusive.

Deserved. Game was a lot better than I was expecting going in. Bend have long deserved a big win like this.

Really great game that's inexplicably underappreciated around here. I can see a refined sequel getting some of that prestige recognition.

I haven't gotten around to playing it yet, but everyone I know who has played it said they enjoyed it.

Because it probably didnt. By what accounts ? Accounts like this ridiculous thread? US and China generate 70 billion dollars anually in game sales. Yet we make threads like this posting how UK generated a whopping 1 billion so far. The game has a couple hundred thousand sales and the posts we make are "its gonna set records" or it did extremely well.

People keep trying to artificially inflate this game so they can nab another one in the sony exclusives list worth playing. The middling reviews all of a sudden dont matter, but matter for other games where they align with the narative. User scores from metacritic became this solid reference and indicative of the game's quality overnight. Its pretty ridiculous the stuff around this game

Well deserved. Exceptional news for Bend and for a great new IP.

So much for "flop of 2019".
