Darksiders Genesis - Official Strife Cinematic Trailer [Release Dates: Dec 5 PC/Stadia | Feb 14 PS4/XBO/Switch]

Yeah they didn't have any release dates till this trailer. December 5th for PC and Stadia, Feb 14th 2020 for PS4 and Xbox One.
Huh, really? I was very impressed by the trailers, and want to like this franchise after enjoying the first game plenty (but being meh on the second and really disliking the third).
Oh dang, for some reason I thought this was November. Oh well, I'm not at a loss for things to play
Dec 5th was the date that's been cropping up recently (Greenman had it up like last week). Want to see a bit more recent gameplay, GMG has a good deal but Isometric without the loot is giving me pause.
Porting and polishing. PC is the main platform, seems like.

Maybe, although I'm surprised it's not listed with the PS4 and XB1.
This game has a different developer, another developer (Gunfire Games) did DS3.
Different developer. That was Gunfire Games, this is Airship Syndicate, but both studios have ex-Vigil Games (ie, ex Darksiders) staff. THQ Nordic is publishing both games (owns the IP), so it's kinda an auspicious situation all around.

I LOVE HIM. I've really missed these cinematic CGI trailers, glad Genesis received one. I can still remember how excited I was for Darksiders II back then, repeatedly watching its CGI trailers.
Shame about the release date. My PC can't handle the game so I'll have to get it on the PS4. December would've been such a good time for me. Unfortunately there's no way I can squeeze this into February. *sighs*

So this is the 4th and last game? the sereis ends with this epsiode? Why not label it Darksiders 4?
Because it's not.
It's a spin off set off long before the events of the first game.
It's listed on the pre-order site so I assume IGN simply forgot to mention the Switch version
Oh my bad I just watched the trailer now and I didn't know this is an isometric game unlike the otehrs. I just saw Strife thinking this is the last game in the series.
Because it isn't. It's a spinoff-prequel. Though by canon, there is a massive lore plot-hole after Darksiders 3, so I dunno.
That's half of the reveal trailer with ending to it instead of gameplay (and the god tier music that came along it) Same developers as Battle Chasers Nightwar which also had superb music - same composer perhaps?
