The third season of Daredevil, returning to Netflix on October 19th, brings an absolution to its consequences. Previous seasons focused on aspects of this, the weight of God and its effects on Matt Murdock's soul, but in the opening hours of the third season, it is at a fever pitch, not waiting to explode, but already detonating.
We Got This Covered (beware that it's spoiling the one-cut scene)
While it's partly let down by its glacially-paced first three episodes, Daredevil season 3 manages to find its footing before long. Fans of the ongoing battle between Matt Murdock and Kingpin will not be disappointed.

This new season honestly left me in awe at everything. From the characters journey to the actions to the creative storytelling, this season of Daredevil might be the best yet! After viewing the first 6 episodes, one should expect mayhem to ensure this season as Matt and everyone involved in his life, are in the gravest danger they've been!
so much coming out on the 19th that I think I might end up just putting this off until November. Somehow October is going HAM. for film, netflix and games.
I got a question. Can I watch S3 without having watched S2? I've only seen S1 and skipped all the other Marvel Netflix shows because frankly, they all look boring af.

You have to watch the last 30 minutes of it. Cause it leads directly into Season 3. Or just read this spoiler: Daredevil is assumed dead as a building falls on him, but is later picked up and cared for by Sister Maggie at St Agnes Church.
Matt's current situation comes from the end of Defenders, not S2. That said, S2 sets up the state of his relationships with his friends in S3, introduces the Punisher (who is played by an amazing actor, and has a great standalone show, but won't be in S3), and has some Fisk scenes I would say are worth seeing, especially one in particular.
But seriously, it's more Daredevil, why wouldn't you want to watch it? S2 was solid.
Fantastic thread (and thank you for the surprise link to my review!). The first six episodes are awesome, loved it far more than the previous seasons. Could easily be in my top ten of the year!
And definitely watch season two of Daredevil, and the ending of The Defenders, or at the very least a recap video. You'll need it.

By ditching most of the more fantastical elements and returning to the nitty-gritty of Hell's Kitchen with the core characters that made this show great, new Daredevil showrunner Erik Oleson (The Man in the High Castle) has created the best Netflix Marvel season to date. The first six episodes I saw aren't quite a perfect Bullseye—don't worry, we'll get to him—but it's darn near close.
He had a great explanation as to why the first season was pretty terrible that I hadnt thought of before. Basically how the first 4-5 episodes were used to set up how all the individual heroes finally meet one another, along with introducing a new villain, which only left 3 episodes of them actually doing stuff as The Defenders. But now that they had done all that work in the first season, whatever they end up doing next can just get right to it.
IF they do do another season of The Defenders, they should have Fisk be the main villain this time. Have Fisk gather all the main villains from the other shows and assemble a cabal tasked with taking down all the heroes together.
I know the show wasnt the most popular thing in the Netflix Mcu, but I think they could do a much better job now.

lol @ him making up an excuse as for why the series stared out slowly, as though it was some sort of anomaly. It started slowly because it's a Netflix Marvel series and they're all like that for completely arbitrary reasons. Some of the reviews for DD S3 (the only N-MCU series I'm still watching) say that it starts slowly and that's a show in its third season...
look at him chuck that 495lb dumbell at a dude. There's that kingpin strength I like seeing.
And I just realized for those who have read Born again
The taxi scene is in the show. This is a really famous scene from the comic, after Kingpin beats the crap out of a wild, out of control matt, he gets his body put into a taxi, and has his cronies crash it into the river.
Which of course leads to
"THERE IS NO CORPSE"
i watched daredevil season 1 (loved it) and daredevil season 2 up to 6th episode or something and dropped out after the good punisher stuff because of that weird ninjas stuff, can i continue watching daredevil season 3 or do i need to watch defenders too (i heard there are those effin ninjas as well)
Sigh.. People complaining about "ninja stuff" in a DD series..
They definitely could have handled the Hand story better, but I'd be so pissed if they had chosen not to do the Hand story at all.
They've been a big part of pretty much every single run on DD worth a damn, which says a lot when pretty much all of Daredevil is of high quality.

If it had been handled well, people wouldn't be complaining. The ninjas weren't the problem, how the season handled them as antagonists and in regards to the overall plotline was the problem
