So according to Gematsu's translation, we are getting a new game announcement from the creator of Danganronpa.

No, because Kodaka no longer works at Spike Chunsoft.Any chance it might be related to this?
I'm aware of that, but Too Kyo and Spike Chunsoft are still working on projects together.
Forgive me, I forgot he no longer works at Spike Chunsoft since majority of their games are Playstation exclusive with the exception of a few titles such as Somnuim Files. The game is very clearly NOT going to be PS4 exclusive given what he said last year, no idea where OP gets that from
Death March Club is coming out next year and is most likely close to done. Kodaka is also only the creative director on that project, most of the scenario/general directing is Uchikoshi. It could be that first game that's listed, which is supposedly a joint scenario project. What happened to these? lol

Gematsu said:In addition to the 2020-due Death March Club, Kodaka is currently working on a number of unannounced projects, including a "Limit x Despair" game with a Kazutaka Kodaka and Kotaro Uchikoshi joint scenario, an anime in collaboration with Studio Pierrot, and a "dark fantasy-esque mystery" game in collaboration with Spike Chunsoft. Read more about those projects here.
In this case I think SC is more to blame than Kodaka. If this game isnt by SC I see it releasing for the Switch

As much as I enjoyed V3, I sorta hope it's a reboot. I would like new villains
Nah, i think most liked it in the context of that game.I'm one of the (I assume very few) that loved Danganronpa V3's ridiculous ending, so I'm hyped for whatever he has in store next!
It's Kodaka, so I'm expecting PS4/PS5/PC, but no Xbox or Switch unless this is another collaboration with Uchikoshi (who prefers making multi-platform games).
What platforms do you play games on the most?
Uchikoshi: "I think I play on PlayStation 4 the most at work, although since I have a daughter, when I play at home I play Switch the most."
Kodaka: "I play on PlayStation 4 the most as well. The Switch is probably the least played."

So if I read all this correctly, we can't definitively rule out that this is another DanganRonpa game, but that it almost certainly isn't one? Does that sound right?
It's always funny seeing people say V3 was the definitive end of Danganronpa. It'll be back.
I do think this is Too Kyo's 2nd game though, this one:
