So according to Gematsu's translation, we are getting a new game announcement from the creator of Danganronpa.
Any chance it might be related to this?
The game is very clearly NOT going to be PS4 exclusive given what he said last year, no idea where OP gets that from

I'm aware of that, but Too Kyo and Spike Chunsoft are still working on projects together.

Forgive me, I forgot he no longer works at Spike Chunsoft since majority of their games are Playstation exclusive with the exception of a few titles such as Somnuim Files.
Death March Club is coming out next year and is most likely close to done. Kodaka is also only the creative director on that project, most of the scenario/general directing is Uchikoshi. It could be that first game that's listed, which is supposedly a joint scenario project.

In this case I think SC is more to blame than Kodaka. If this game isnt by SC I see it releasing for the Switch
AI Somnium Files was by Spike Chunsoft and was released on the Switch as well. I don't think SC has anything against the Switch.
This sounds like it may not even be a Danganronpa game.
But anyway V3 was great so definitely looking forward to this. Also haven't started AI Somnium yet...
Nah, i think most liked it in the context of that game.
It's just the people who hate it are very vocal or think it's an actual continuation of the main series' plot.
Regarding this, interesting tidbit from an interview I did back in June:
From a biz perspective though it'll probably be on PS4, Switch, and PC at the very least.
I'm definitely the most interested in the Spike Chunsoft game out of those projects. Dark fantasy mystery game is definitely something fresh.
So if I read all this correctly, we can't definitively rule out that this is another DanganRonpa game, but that it almost certainly isn't one? Does that sound right?

It's always funny seeing people say V3 was the definitive end of Danganronpa. It'll be back.
I do think this is Too Kyo's 2nd game though, this one:

By process of elimination, if it's not Spike Chunsoft's game (which it's likely not, given the Izanagi tweets and trademarks) or the anime (which it's likely not, again given the Izanagi stuff), then it would have to be this---IF it's one of their four previously teased projects. I guess we don't know for sure if there's anything else in the works there, though I'd imagine they'd wanna get these four out first before adding anymore projects.

FMV? Well that's disappointing. As much as I like Kodaka's work, that's enough for me to lose interest completely.
FMV was about the last thing I expected. I'm intrigued but I really need to know some plot details.
Video Cluedo. Murder most foul. Well, at the very least - the best FMV games were detective/murder mystery games with perhaps the exception of this one.
