Ah, shit. I havent watched GG in ages but I liked them way back. Well this sucks. The evidence is pretty damming.
Honestly, GG should just be ended at this point. The co-host track record is a mess, and Arin can create a new brand if he does actually want to continue.

Arin is really between a rock and a hard place, even the safest route you mention could be initially a blow for his income. But in a situation like this he should think about his long term image, and show us he won't be omissive when it comes to abuses practiced by his cohost.
Young fans getting creeped on is sadly nothing new. Bands have been doing it with groupies for decades.

They're most definitely discussing with Dan and their legal group on this matter. But don't expect a statement today.

I'm not sure but because 5 years passed between first contact the context of those earlier texts would likely be needed for any charges to land.
He always seemed pretty humble. He brought up a bunch of personal and self help discussions on game grumps that a lot of fans looked up and thanked him for. This is going to hurt them bad.
The sexual encounters were backstage at game grumps shows. While not verified yet, dans personal assistant (both grumps had one) sounds like she knew what was going on so I have a hard time seeing how Arin could be totally unaware.

Definitely don't expect any statements today. Arin has been with Dan as a partner in business for years, I'm sure he's going to reach out tomorrow if not later to get all ducks in a row. Since this also potentially means a huge blow/outright death of the business they've grown together.

This hurts. Their content has helped me get through many tough situations, but this is completely unacceptable behavior. My heart goes out to all the victims.

I'm already seeing people on Twitter talk about how the girl was just 1 month shy of being an adult when she and Danny started talking and how it was all legal, as if that excuses the sleaziness and power dynamics at play here. I worry that all of this will just be swept under the rug. Hopefully something will be done.

This is a huge bummer. I enjoyed Dan when I watched Grumps and I do like some of his music and NSP stuff.
It's hard to believe but Jon was only on Grumps for about 10 months before Dan took over, he's been on the show for almost a decade. I don't see Arin trying to find a replacement at this point nor do I think he's going to try and sweep this under the rug.

Yeah if I were Arin I'd probably be having some kind of breakdown over this happening all over again, so I'd expect to give him a day or two. He sure knows how to pick em, man

I looked up to Dan. I related to his stories and loved his friendship with Arin.
GameGrumps got me through a lot of tough times. It was brutal to hear JonTron use Nazi fake facts and then double down and triple down on them but somehow this one cuts deeper.
Glad women spoke up.
The power dynamic is real. It can't be ignored, especially when you combine age difference with them being fans.
I really hope the rabbit hole doesn't go deeper because this is bad enough. I hope Dan cops to everything, gets help and goes away for a while. But few people who are outed like this actually take that path.

Is it really so difficult to not take advantage of people? It just seems like it would be incredibly uncomfortable to hook up with a fan, let alone someone decades younger than you. But nope, creepy fucks like this guy are all too eager to go for it. So disgusting.

I feel the same. There's an extra level of connection with these creators who make funny youtube videos and then make it big, that they're just normal folks and not these glamorous Hollywood celebrities, and when you find this shit out about them it hurts more, I guess.
Maybe it's that "parasocial relationship" thing going on, where I'm imprinting strong feelings onto a face behind a screen. Hearing Dan and Arin talk about their lives, Dan gushing about his parents and how he loves them and how they supported him every step of the way, his own struggles with mental health and self esteem, like, fuck.
I know people can hide things and/or change but Arin really knows how to pick people. That's 0/2 for co-hosts who are reprehensible assholes.
Everyone from Game Grumps has rubbed me the wrong way from day 1, but grooming wasn't on my list because I had no idea about the lyrics. From what I've learned about someone close in my life turning out to be a groomer, the hard edge to their comedy is a calling card to me. When all their comedy has that hard edge...watch out.
