No I get that they can add to the day zero patch, but I thought going gold meant the game was being mass-produced and shipped to retailers. I didn't know you could delay that process so late into it

Pretty much this. I wouldn't be surprised if it does at this rate. I couldn't imagine having to force your team to crunch this much and possibly through the holidays.

I have a feeling this game won't be that good, purely going off of how horrible Witcher 3 was to me gameplay wise. That game was third person, now they are going for a first person game for the first time. I'll be surprised, but now at least it won't automatically be on game of the year lists somehow.
