I'm currently playing through Patapon 2, and I love it. Cool gameplay, sweet music and cute aesthetic all around.

I'm imagining what a Patapon game would look like if it were made from the ground up for the PS4 or PS5. The Patapon games were PSP games. They looked very nice because they were 2D and used simple aesthetics, but there's still so much more that could be done in that style if the game was powered by powerful hardware. More stuff on screen, more detailed backgrounds, more layers for the background, etc.

I also just would like a new Patapon game in general. Please, Sony; do it.

Recently I picked up Patapon 3 again, and having status ailments like fire tied to a percentage chance of catching it was a horrible design decision that I would hope they don't bring back if they ever make a Patapon 4.
