Are they going to continue this franchise some day or just port the first three games to the end of time?

i really liked the PSP version when i played it years ago. maybe one day i'll replay this version. i hope they bring book of shadows as well, never played that one.
I'm kind of lost with these games: I wanted to follow the story in order but with every addition (and relaunch) they confuse me more.

- I played Corpse Party on 3DS (Back to School Edition)
- I was planning (this Halloween) to play Corpse Party: Book of Shadows
- And finally Corpse Party: Blood Drive
They should soft reboot this franchise. I know i will get flamed for praising it but i thought that blood drive was a good finale.
Considering what some of the new characters looked like in Blood Drive, I am hesitant on getting excited about this.
Throw in Sachiko's Birthday Bash after BoS (it is available on Steam in English) and that is the Heavenly Host saga.
I mean if we ever get more of Dead Patient, it could be what you are looking for.
I doubt it at this point. Good idea though. Just remake that and finish it. I low key really like this franchise. I always thought it was severely under rated.
So if I want the very first game as far as story goes, this is the one? The 3DS version actually reviewed well. I didn't get the previous one on Switch because it was the third in the series (and if I remember correctly it was apparently not supposed to be good anyway).

Thanks! Another game I will add to my backlog then... :-) The nice thing about the Switch is that I actually end up playing and usually completing the games in my backlog.
They started doing Corpse Party 2 as an episodic game years ago, but the second episode never came out. They eventually ported it to another engine but still nothing else.
