yes. that and there's not really much money to be gained. and it's obscenely expensive to accomplish in the first place.

You say "thief," Marvel says "superstar artist."

I think Epting, Cassaday, Finch, Weeks, and a few pornos are traced in that cover.
All the artists he's stolen from over the years should band together and take him to task.

Remember how y'all were saying Boom is the new image and that's why people are going there with their indy ideas.

Remember how I mentioned their problems paying people like shit and never on time and how that was ignored.

Yeah

Not suprised to see this is part of why Giant Days died.

What? Most of N52 Justice League was way worse than this.
I could see the argument that Shazam is better than JL #1-14, but the rest of the run starting with Throne of Atlantis is easily better.

Most of Shazam was just a mess, delays, multiple artists per issue, some of the worst Scott Kolins art I've ever seen, story running out of steam.

The main thing that annoyed me about Shazam is how Johns made both Sivana AND Mr Mind magic based villains.
Why do all of Billy's villains have to be magic based now?
It's boring.

Johns New 52 Justice League was basically just a "Greatest Hits" of past Justice League stories. I had fun with it, but I think it was intended as a new reader intro to DC comics.

Slaymaster has a few disguises in Captain Britain, and this is the creepiest one.

Especially because he just sneaks up behind people with long spikes and stabs them in the back of the head.

The current run. The second half is way worse than the first half, but I also wasn't as high on the first half as you.

I was super high on it, admittedly. But I haven't read it since the seventh member of the Shazam family was added.

Just let Tim fucking move on man. I'm tired of this Robin/Drake/Red Robin shit. Its amazing that the last solo book he had was a fucking decade ago with Yost's and Niceza's Red Robin run. Which was fucking great.

God. Duke Thomas and Harper Row have gotten more development than Tim and Damian the past decade. DC just keeps resetting the latter.

Neither Duke nor Harper has been anywhere near as visible as Tim or Damian. Which is good, 'cause both of them are boring.

Forever Evil along with Forever Heroes was one of my favorite events, honestly. I loved it.

DC cancels the Spencer Hellblazer book, but they're putting out one with Derrick Robertson? No disrespect to Tom Taylor, but that dudes art sucks. What an unusually cruel fate lol

Damn it, I know I said yesterday my plan was to wait for Avengers but after seeing everyone's reactions I'm seriously considering trading in Mario Odyssey and preordering at Gamestop tomorrow. I hate my lack of self control and seeing Kate didn't help.

feels like a price drop game waiting to happen honestly. I'd just wait it out a bit till more people play it and see how it is at this point.

Folklords

If you like Planet of the Apes, all of their licensed Apes comics are great, especially the Bechko/Hardman books and David Walker's Ursus mini.

I really recommend waiting to see how folks feel about that after a month, unless that $60 is easy to spend for you. It's how these games hold up over time that really matters. The first Destiny seemed fantastic when it was just an alpha. When the alpha content turned out to be a quarter of the whole game? Very different proposition!

This is also a great point. Especially after reading the story is over in about 12 hours. If it does end up like Destiny which I got with the first expansion and ended up loving then cool but if it turns out that post game isn't all that great then no thanks.

It's always been bad, the identity thing was lazy as shit. He came this close to just putting a bubble that said "editors said I had to"
I think there's an angle where the Drake identity works; like, Tim as the Robin that's all about detective work and procedure would also be the one with strong feelings on accountability, and having him be out there under his regular name works in that sense. It's just that's not the angle that's been played and it's incredibly stupid, because the potential is there.

It shouldn't really be decided in courts. Marvel should just have the fucking decency to put someone else on X-Men, Iron Man, and Avengers.

I could see the argument that Shazam is better than JL #1-14, but the rest of the run starting with Throne of Atlantis is easily better.
There's lots of speculation that the first part of Johns' run was co-written or re-written by Jim Lee. I can see the case for it as it would explain the huge drop from his usual quality. Especially that second arc.

I'd definitely expect a substantial discount on Marvel's Avengers by Black Friday.

I read the death metal guidebook, and if someone told me this was all thought up by snyder's kids I would believe them. the "data" pages seriously read like something I came up with when I was 10 years old, it's incredible. how did the magic users of the dcu fail you ask? well there's a magic batman who literally became the most powerful magic user ever in his home dimension, so he just summoned literally the entirety of hell and defeated the good guys. superman was defeated by darkseid batman. aquaman gave up because a batman accidentally unleashed an ancient evil sea monster that then apparently also decided to be batman.

it's wild to think I actually really enjoyed the evil batman stories from the original metal, but this is astonishing.

Yeah I have not been enjoying Death Metal at all. Usually the random shit would be fine if it was in service of a story like the original Metal but this is just... I guess gratuitous? Like nothing justifies it's existence. Hell without Capullo's art I think more people would feel this way even quicker.

Whoever created this Spartacus show clearly watched 300 and thought it needed to be a prono, with a ton of horrible special effects with blood

Just a heads up, you can still grab the classic Quesada cover variant for JMS's Spiderman vol 2.

I just read the first 4 chapters of Chainsaw Man.

It's so good. And funny. I already love all the characters so I'm preparing myself for a heartbreak based on what people in here were saying.

I bit the bullet and am playing Avengers right now.

Kamala rules and apparently that JMS Captain America speech from Civil War is famous in-universe 😂 I dig it.

I think Tynion has said in the past that Tim is his favorite Robin and it shows. One of the few highlights I can think of during New52 for Tim Drake was Tynion's side story about Tim Drake in Batman #0. Batman Eternal & BR Eternal also had some decent moments, and Detective Comics like you said.

But its been frustrating. Really feels like DC doesn't know what to do with these characters.
Being a Tim fan is weird, like he's always around somewhere, but it's in an insubstantial way that doesn't lean on the characters strengths.

Hurts like hell just want my dope ass Red Robin book back, goddamnit it was only just hitting it's stride and really setting up a great supporting cast.
