Yeah I like him. He would absolutely crush Trump.

Glad he's finally announcing some time soon.

I worry Beto's criminal history would be a liability if he won the nomination. Drunk driving and trying to leave the scene? Burglary?
It's a liability in the primary maybe, I don't see how it's a liability against Trump.

Even his supporters have accepted that he cheated on his wife and then paid off a porn star.

Unless hes willing to go hard left no thank you. We have better, more progressive picks that are already in play.

how many of those better more progressive picks are better than him at energizing and fundraising?

ill go back to the common saying, Republicans fall in line, Democrats fall in love. I can see a looooot of dems across the nation falling in love with Beto. I don't see it for Warren or many others. Warren in particular has all the charisma of a lead balloon.

When Trump brings this up, just say "You, admittedly, abused underage girls, sexually assaulted women, and committed fraud multiple times over." Do we really want to talk about criminal activity and morals? I'll gladly discuss these things if you want.

Then go from there (granted it may not be Trump that brings it up, haha).

And you have to feel that if Texas is in play, then you be able to win in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania because they are bluer than Texas. Win those 3 plus Hillary states and you win the electoral college. Win Texas or other states like Florida and Arizona in addition and it turns into a beatdown. This is why I think Beto has the best chance at the electoral college of the nominees aside from Biden. Most nominess are from the coasts, but Beto has that middle America appeal and his close loss in Texas proves that.

Exactly.

I'd rather have a candidate with an actual chance to win.
Bernie is the easy answer to both of these lol

everyone hates Joe Biden
Biden is your best chance to win back the working class vote from the midwest. PA, WI, MI, and maybe even ohio though i think ohio is probably gone for the next few cycles after the midterms and trump beating hillary by like 8 points here.

I just dont see them picking Bernie over Trump. Bernie comes across as a socialist hipster. Biden is more their type.

And lets not forget the amazing and unforgetable performance Biden gave in his VP debate against Paul Ryan after Obama single handedly lost his election lead after the first debate.

People are tired of politicans and want a more authentic guy. biden and bernie fit the bill. Beto might get the young vote out but i dont think that will be enough in the midwest states.

I'd personally take Harris over Beto. That said, I think a Harris/Beto ticket is our best bet for the GE.

Beto
Harris
Biden

The only 3 candidates which can Capture the true mix of votes of black, white, Hispanic, Asian, men, women, south, north, Midwest, rust belt, never trumpers, blue dog dems , on the edge voters

The other candidates including Bernie will result in many voters not voting or voting the incumbent

Biden needs to be inspirational. If he is not it's only Beto and Harris then

Harris and Beto are very personable and somewhat Biden as well. People want to vote for the person they can have a small talk with . Bernie is not personable, the others are just top policy driven and not character and charisma driven

I'm not going to favor a candidate until the primary. I've got people I like more, and a few I like less, but I'm not going to put my weight behind anybody because there's no point.

everyone hates Joe Biden

On the contrary, Joe Biden is the most liked potential candidate for the 2020 election, with a favorability/unfavorability rating of 84-7 among Democrats, and a 53-33 rating among likely voters, topping Trump 40-56. Sanders is second among Democrats at 44-42 among the general election and 74-13 among Democrats. This was a late December poll so it is a few months old, but it is the latest favorability poll of the Democratic candidates for 2020. A more recent but slightly different poll from February shows mostly the same, Biden being the most liked, though Harris and others begin to get more name recognition among Democrats.

It's meaningless at this stage, of course, there's still 18 months until the election, but of all of the people who are currently hated in the 2020 election, Joe Biden is the hated the least.

One of the two old men is going to win, why? They are old and old people trust old people. I think Beto came too early.

I will end up eating my words. haha

Maybe but li hope Bernie's populist message can reach them. I will pretty much be done with this party if Biden gets the ticket
If you're candidate doesn't win the primary you're not going to vote? IMO this election isn't so much about a democrat winning. It's about trump loosing. Anyone, and I mean anyone, is better than who we have now.

Beto isn't my preferred candidate but his history of pro-LGBT and women's rights goes a long way for me. Primary season will be wild. Also, please not Joe Biden
