If you really need the joke explained (you don't), the headline is a parody of CNN's current headline, where a front-running candidate says something so obviously direct and insulting to another candidate. Both are jokes, in fact. I hope this helps.

Because socialism and communism are pretty much fringe and are over represented online and have little impact in real world political happenings. I'm not an academic, I'm not reading "political theory" in my free time.

It's extremely not funny because it has nothing at all to do with the actual story which is obviously sourced from Warren?

The "joke" seems to be Law Boy taking an article he doesn't like and changing up it to be an insult against Buttigieg because he doesn't like Buttigieg and that's aggressively unfunny because they've made these jokes for months and months (all being aggressively unfunny with "Mayo Boy" being absolutely the worst as all of them are white) and it has nothing to do with the article.

This is such a perfect, bullshit story. Warren doesn't need to take any responsibility, since the articles cite anonymous sources who weren't actually there, and watch: she'll be asked by a moderator about it during the debate, and she'll give a vague answer neither confirming nor denying the article (pretending to take the high road or something), allowing the charge to stand without having to substantiate it.

I mean, from what I see it's not really the "DNC" infighting here. Regardless, I don't ever want Democrats to have the same kind of herd mentality that Republicans have. There's a middle ground to be had.

It will be real interesting to see how things go once the primary is over. I hope lessons were learned from 2016.

Love too ignore the entire history of the labour movement and Leftism and then say socialism has "little impact on the real world".
The reason why Leftism is so appealing to so many is because it's so simple, the Communist manifesto when it was first written was originally a phamplet.

It's pretty funny tbh, and has to do with the "actual story" because it's literally a direct play on the article itself.

Are you upset because it was about Buttigieg, or that it was a CNN parody? I'm really not certain whats up. Also, "obviously sourced from Warren" is an assumption no doubt. It may have been, despite CNN and such saying it was four staffers, but right now we have no idea because it is still conjecture. There hasn't even been a statement from Warren's campaign yet.

No one should "like" a sensationalist article with a sensationalist headline that still hasn't been confirmed or denied by the campaign in which the article states the sources came from. The media just wants hits, and it specifically wants the left-most candidates to fight between their camps. And besides, Buttigieg himself is the kind of person who would go as far as to fake black support due to having such low numbers in the first place, and even praised Bush and the War on Terror when suggesting that mandatory civil service was a good idea. Not to mention he defends insurance companies more often than he brushes his teeth. The guy is basically a Republican lmao.

If she *deliberately* leaked it, I'm not sure that's a good look for her either, but...I guess.

Warren and Bernie are fighting for the same crowd. I do wish one of them would get out of the other's way, but there's no reason for either of them to be the one to do it.

If you're going to speak with reasonable confidence about the merits of regulated capitalism over socialism and communism, it really does behoove you to read some socialist literature, considering how many of those regulations were a direct response to organized labor and socialist critique.

Pretty good strategy. You bank on this happening in a debate and if it happens, no matter what your opponent says, he's losing ground just having to deal with it.
