Civilization 6 on Series X / Console - worth it?

Hi all,
I played every single Civ game including 6 on PC.
But Civ 6 is currently on sale for Xbox, can anyone share some impressions on how it plays? Never played it with a controller, and I wonder if it profits in any way from the faster CPU in the Series X?

The game plays just fine with a controller, but of course will take some getting use to. I played on PC with KBM as well as the Steam controller, moved to the Switch version, then to the Xbox version. The load times were ridiculously long on One X, and have improved tremendously on Series X. I fired it up last week and was at the main menu in 27 seconds. Loading a match on the default map size and adding the max amount of city states took somewhere around 10 seconds if I remember correctly. AI turns seem to process faster as well. I didn't play long enough to notice any other improvements, and while I'm not holding out hope for a X/S patch, the load time improvements alone have me thrilled.

already played many hours on PC and iPad, but I just love Civilization so much

Game isn't too demanding.

I don't see value in the console ports outside of Switch where there's cross save and portability.

As I said I own it on PC and iPad, but I would like to stay in the living room to play it. Wasn't sure about the port though

Did they allow iOS cross save with Steam? I assumption is yes, but not sure as I don't have iOS devices. I think the only device that doesn't allow cross ave is PS4.

There is cross-save with Xbox, too. Just not on PS4.

I think its great on console! I haven't played it on PC though so I wouldn't know how that compares but I enjoy multiplayer with friends.

This is good to know. I own and enjoy the Switch version but its load times are... not ideal. I might pick the game up on sale sometime on PS5.

Didn't want to create a whole new thread for this, but holy crap, did anyone else run into a metric ton of bugs with this game? My friends and I downloaded it since we loved Civ Rev so much, and every game seems to crash or disconnect at some point.

A shame because the game has been super fun otherwise.
