The english localization is still Honeywood's work. They just made some small tweaks. To the people who played the original and are playing this one right now: How is the new localization? Any differences worth mentioning?
I really do love Richard Honeywood's work on CC, and I hope this new translation is up to its standard.
lol @ people on steam forums complaining of censorship because they changed Marcy's model to have bloomers instead of panties (she's 9 years old ffs)
Stupid fanboy opinions like this is why we keep getting crappy remakes and remasters of games. Go ahead and waste your money if you want, but dont tell others to just "suck it up" instead of demanding better.

I hope these people also bitch about, like, REAL government censorship going on in the world.
For real?lol @ people on steam forums complaining of censorship because they changed Marcy's model to have bloomers instead of panties (she's 9 years old ffs)
NG+ you can switch Serge out.40+ characters and you can only have 2 + the MC in your party at a time. Bruh.
You got the crappiest guide with the hardest boss battles, sorry.I've met like 15 characters with a portrait, and the first non-core character to join my party is Pierre. I'm fine with the Shakespearian archetype, but this dude kinda sucks in battle? He died right near the end in the two boss fights he was in, so he missed the big level ups.
clearly that's due to razzly's cape rendering with real time physics
A new Chrono game is actually 100 percent confirmed because the Chrono Cross twitter account's handle is actually just @chronogame, implying an intention to use it for future titles that are not Chrono Cross.
100
Percent
Confirmed
PLEASE
On topic, I'm still super early, but I feel like there could be some real strategy with this combat system., between the spell/ability levels and elemental field effects.

Playing on PC, and while RTSS reports a locked 60fps the game feels like it's in the 20s. So is 60 an emulated framerate?
Sorry for the following question. I have never played Chrono Cross, and Baten Kaitos is one of my favorite games. Seeing videos of Chrono Cross, specially the scenery, makes me remember Baten Kaitos a lot. Why? Maybe same developer/director or was Baten Kaitos influenced by it? Made me really want to get this. Thank you.
That's why then, thank you for the fast reply. Guess I found my next game :)Chrono Cross' writer/director is Baten Kaitos' writer. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. :D

I'm both sad and happy that that series is isolated on GC, and Monolith only has time for Xenoblade. T_T
Is the PC version the worst version or are they all just as bad as each other? I'm going by Steam reviews and it doesn't sound good.
It could be better but it is entirely playable.
Also the dischord 'moogles & mods' (where most of the great final fantasy pixel remaster & chrono trigger mods come from) seems to already have a bunch of helpful mods popping up. Will probably help smooth out a lot of the rough edges over time. I know a bunch of the stuff that has come from that community made my playthrough of the FF PR & CT pc releases a lot more enjoyable. They're all terrible but you can at least make the PC version look nice by adding proper level correction (crts had darker gamma which this port ignored so you see a shit ton of washed out blacks and dithering) and filters to hide the abysmal treatment of bg / warping on characters.

Good to know. Luckily I'm not planning on buying this any time soon. Also the dischord 'moogles & mods' (where most of the great final fantasy pixel remaster & chrono trigger mods come from) seems to already have a bunch of helpful mods popping up. One of the reasons I enjoyed Baten Kaitos back then was because of how much it reminded me (visually) to Chrono Cross. Blue haired protagonist even! That's why then, thank you for the fast reply. Guess I found my next game :)

Does it actually perform worse? I thought it just performed as bad as the original and peoples memories were off.the game performs worse? this is a classic from the golden age of square. how could they release something that actually performs worse
Graphics director, and particularly prerendered backgrounds designer, was the same person for both games: Yasuyuki Honne.Sorry for the following question.
