Absolutely. So glad someone pointed this out. One of the strongest assets of the sequel trilogy imho.
It's so sleek and adventurous.
Finn would have made a much better hero than Rey IMO, and those posters still sting.

Threepio's role in this movie is his biggest since A New Hope per Anthony Daniels. So yes, it makes sense for him. Threepio is very much a main character this go round from what we have been told.
