Given the spread of the disease worldwide, it's a bit irresponsible to continue holding the event. There's just no need to host an international audience in a confined space at this point.

I get that they're in a tough position, but it's not worth the risk.

why would all these companies cancel for?...PAX East takes place in the USA- Boston...isn't the virus mainly active in Asia and Italy to a lesser degree

Seems like this may be an opportunity for indie and mid-sized developers to get more coverage if the press still shows up.

They should just cancel the event at this point. PAX East going to be nothing more than a couple of kiosk locations with Animal Crossing at this rate.
