Since the discussion around cats has been not great recently, and inspired by posts from Hjod and Dinjooh, I figured why not have a thread where people can share pictures of cats. Ones you own, ones of friends or family, ones you've met or otherwise.

This is my little dude, Dover. He came to us a few years ago, a bedraggled stray. He's the friendliest furry little guy I've ever had the privilege to know. If you're touching him, he's purring. if you're in the room, he's purring. If you've taken him to the vet and he's getting a shot, he's purring. Unfortunately he's coming to the end of his days, and I'm sad to say I haven't gotten to enjoy his company for nearly long enough, but I'm very very glad we were able to give him the home while he stuck around. I hope this post is okay, but if people are too bummed out by it, I'll remove the story. I just love sharing about my favourite guy.

She's a bit of a dick but we love her.

Rescued her about 5 months ago. Her name was Marguerite, we call her Margie.
Found wild at about age 9 months living in a trailer park. I was told they used to shoot at her and her siblings for target practice so she was slow to trust.
Now she never shuts up for attention.

Here is Hammie. She found me and decided I was her human. I would say she acts like a princess but that's wrong because she is a princess

Here is a Odie. Got him from a rescue. He has come a very far way. Fun fact.. he only has four teeth. His gums/teeth were in extreamly bad shape when we got him and majority of them needed to be removed. oh yeah as you can tell he only has one eye

Great thread! My wife and I have been fostering kittens for a few years now, though we've had to put a pause on it this month due to a move. We plan to start our own rescue when we buy a house. The black one here was found on a trip to St. Louis covered in fleas and barely able to move---Lil Tuna since a nearby neighbor was feeding him tuna.

My two cats - Kefka (top shelf) and Sephiroth (lower shelf). Both were strays - Sephiroth showed up in my backyard back in January and we weren't ever able to find an owner (no chip or collar) so we adopted him, and Kefka was found in Utah and brought to a cat rescue in Oregon, where we adopted him about two months ago.
