I never really know where it is so I always need a light.

What about you guys (for those that occasionally turn off their console)?

Who uses their power button? That said I think it's along the left side.

Now where the fuck the eject button is, I don't know.

I don't think I've ever actually used the power button, unless I want to start in safe mode; I always power on using a controller.

I often struggle finding the power button on my normal PS4 with the lights on. The symbols are so tiny.

Always use the controller for my PS4 and Xbox One to turn it on and off.

No. I use the controller/TV to turn it on. I had to look for it the one time I changed the HDD.

I can use my nail to find the ridge and click it.

This is an example of minimalist bullshit modern design ideas, where you need a tutorial to switch something on. I've seen it with other electronics, such as TVs.

I don't think I've ever used the power button beyond maybe setting it up for the first time. I always use the PS button on the controller.

I probably have a 50/50 shot of either hitting the power button or accidentally hitting the eject button instead in the dark

How is this an issue. The buttons are on the middle section. Left is lower, right is eject.

I can fumble around and find it now, but when I first got my PS4 Pro I had to look up how to turn the damn thing on.

I rarely press it since it's much easier to turn it on using the controller.

I know there is a button there but pretty sure I've only used it to get into recovery mode occasionally. Usually use DS4 or TV to to the PS4 on.

LOL. No. I've turned my Pro off physically like four times ever so I'm lost as shit in the dark if it cuts off with a power outage or something

I can find the PS4 power button as easy as I can find my dick in the night.

it's 50/50 of either the power button or disc eject button. Ugh I really hope PS5 allows powering off remotely. I have my logitech harmony hooked up to it, but due to PS4's weird standards compared to Xbox One, you can not turn it off with a remote. Mildly annoying.

I can find it... but I've only needed to like 5 times since 2013. I use the controller to put it on/off since then. Both base and Pro.

Pro? yes.
Base? kinda. Always have to run my finger and pray I don't hit the eject button by mistake.

This is the gaming equivalent of "Can you make it to the bathroom to pee in the dark?"

Honest question, why do you use the button to turn it off? Its right there in the ui (far right). Turning on is even easier with the ps button or from the tv.
What's the use case where its more convenient with the button?

poll is a bit annoyingly worded... But of course why wouldn't i? Second why not use the controller? Third why not just turn the lights on?

I had to tape it up, I can't sleep with insanely bright lights or any light for that matter. I need to hide my controller under a towel when I'm charging it overnight.

Any time I press what I think is the power button the disc ejects.

Anyone else have that problem?

Anytime I go to press the power button there is a 100% chance that I will first hit the eject button.
