Been playing REmake 2/3 and DMC 5 lately and I'm just struck by how damn good this all looks.

The models in DMC and RE3 were crazy good. My only fear is that we might be approaching the uncanny valley soon.

Yeah, the current RE Engine games look stellar, especially in DMC5.

I can't wait to see what they can do with the engine come next-gen, especially with Dev 2 finally using the RE Engine as of MH Rise.

Yeah it's incredible. God tier faces and 60fps too.

Next gen RE Engine gonna be absolutely crazy.

Love them. Everyone looks fantastic, with the exception of the terrible mistake that was RE7 Chris.

They're among the best character models and faces without looking 100% photoreal. And even if a lot of the characters look attractive, they look distinct and unique rather than just conventionally good looking.

10/10 faces. It still blows my mind that a game like Devil May Cry 5 ended up with some of the best video game faces out there.

The engine is already proving to be plenty capable for its Switch variant.

It looks great doing that for sure. Overall it produces a very nice image on average.

Hair looked bad in RE3make but I think that might have been a PC version glitch?

Screen Space Reflections are REAL bad in RE2make, especially the police station main area where it's all splotchy and shit. Just yuck.

Jill in RE3R is hands down the best looking character model I've ever seen. That plus her characterisation basically carries the entire game.

I'll be interested to see their hybrid screen-space/ray-tracing solution that they seem to have going for Pragmata.

It's had some amazing character models.

My favorite is easily Annette Burkin, they just killed her design and look and made me appreciate her even more than the main cast.

RE engine is pretty god damn amazing, RE2 remake is stunning especially considering it targets 60fps. Really excited to see what the can do next gen.

Her character model is indeed fantastic, but her characterization felt off to me. The "My turn, bitch!" and "Bitch can't even swim" type lines just came across as comical, or cringy to me. It's like they fed Alien and Terminator 2 to a rudimentary AI and said "OK, now generate your own badass female protagonist." I just felt that Jill was at her best in Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape, funnily enough. Professional, yet jokey and lighthearted in a way that felt more natural.

Unless it's a genre I hate I will give any RE engine game a try just for how beautiful they are.

Ya, I haven't played any of the newer games on the engine but I'm always amazed at how good they look. I think the art direction I'm general on the character models is great. They're all really expressive and unique looking

I haven't played DMC5 yet so I'm only seeing now that Dante and Vergil have different faces? That's odd what with them being identical twins...
But yes, they look great. They hire some stupidly attractive people for their faces =P
