After hitting 155 a week ago, got bored with this one and went back to blops 4. Holy hell what a difference. 2-4 k/d games with 30+ kills stands in such contrast to this mess. Specialists are still stupid, but I actually found myself having a good time. MW in it's current state is not a good time for me.
The changes to the black market are great too. Played for five days and got enough crates for the weapon of choice bribe. I'll check back in on MW in 2020 or when BR drops.
I did the same and was blown away. I was beginning to come to terms with the thought that my peripheral vision was bad but no, visibility is just terrible in MW.
In BlOps the map is large and easy to read without squinting, the colorblind options actually work, and the player models have small lights on them to aid visibility.
Infinity Ward has opted to prioritize style over substance on the other hand. Yes the game is pretty, but it's at the cost of clear gameplay, player visibility, etc. I feel like I have cataracts and am constantly being vaporized by people I can barely see. This is not enjoyable.
Even the movement in BlOps felt more direct and responsive to me. Because of the higher TTK, you can react to a gunfight, get to cover and outmaneuver an enemy. In MW, the miniscule TTK favors scoping around every corner or just posting up at a window or door. This favors camping and a more run and gun rushing style is objectively a worse way to play if you want to do well.
I hope TTK is longer in the BR if they add armor and health, and that might be great if everything else we've heard is true. But as it is, I simply don't have much fun in standard MW multiplayer. I don't play 10v10 because those maps are terrible so the game is just a handful of maps and shoothouse for me.
