WTB: Older Gameboy Advance or GB/GBC bootlegs. Not looking to spend a lot on each, knowing I could get some for around 3 or 4 bucks each, but if you happen to have old bootlegs (maybe you bought Pokemon on Ebay thinking it would be real, or got deceived), I would love to have them. Dont care about labels so much if the cart itself is decent. Planning on doing some experimentation on them.

Verizon doesn't lock phones yet. They have always sold unlocked LTE phones.
Correct, yes, leaving you with a 5-inch tablet you payed almost a thousand dollars for, essentially. Tricky thing about buying secondhand phones, it may not be blacklisted
*yet*, but unless you want to blindly trust a stranger to put the money you just gave them into breaking even on a phone, you're literally fucked.
There's some IMEI checking sites (I use Swappa) that tell you about the financial status of phones (if it's payed off or not), as this is extremely valuable information.

And yes, the phone isn't unlocked so I passed. It could get locked if there's no proof of full payment.
The reason they lock phones is to prevent theft, once the phone has been activated on a verizon account, its unlocked. The phone is on my verizon account, which i have had since 2009 and in good standing. But thats why the phone was so cheap. But as i told you, verizon confirmed the phone was unlocked.
Uhh. But it does? I've tested it out on 3 friends phones and it's been accurate each time. Maybe you're misinterpreting what it says?
If the phone hasn't been paid off it will say "This device is being financed and is not eligible for resale".
I put in the Imei of my note 8 still being financed on Verizon and it makes no mention of being ineligible for sale.
I also put my wives iPhone 7 plus still financed and it makes no mention of being ineligible either.
Anyone selling one of those $50 Eshop cards for ~$40. I keep meaning to pick one up when they go on sale for that price on eBay.
