That was how "sony fans" should be treated.
They've said plenty of horrible stuff about minorities, but fair is fair, and that wasn't a specific example of it. Still in awful taste, and a "hilarious" joke like that would certainly get you banned in here, at least.
I met some of Milgrau's founders around 2010, and I always said they were pieces of shit that didn't deserve the fame and support of the fans.
So, to answer your question: I honest believe that what we are about to achieve today is only happening because of George Floyd's tragic murderer due to police violence. Without public reaction, people saying that Xbox Milgrau had crossed the line, nothing would be happening, they would continue to make jokes about any minority they wanted, and companies would still turn a blind eye. People on Twitter are the real heroes today, they had enough and basically created a task force to make enough noise to be heard. The guy who sent Phil an email, this other guy who compiled many of the infractions and created a guide to help people report it. I'm just really happy to see all this taking place in the middle of a quarantine. It feels like christmas came early.
(please dont give me tag saying "The boy who waited 2 years for christimas. Maybe something cool like "He held the line" or related to "having patience" xoxo)

They're most likely asking for donations because they got sued recently for defamation and lost, currently owing the other party R$64.000 (around US$12.500). I don't suppose they want to risk going to court against people reporting their bigotry, because that will very likely backfire.

I still don't fully trust that, knowing how Twitch sometimes quietly reinstate accounts.
