Eh, it's not so bad. Boruto actually does know a lot of moves. He just likes to spam Naruto's moves too much, Just take a look at the list of moves:

I think if we do another thread to split the manga and anime discussion then this is the amp time to do so since we are going into a manga + original arc starting this Sunday. It is the first manga arc ever for the anime since the movie arc was just a movie rehash and doesn't really count.

Actually in the anime it basically
- Could see portals and its location before they happen (Urashiki and NUE).
- Maybe open portals itself or break through dimensions (how he escaped and how he might've put Nue back into its dimension when it wanted to blow up against Naruto and Kakashi)
- It has precog but byakugan also has precog so whatever.
- It can see a dimension while in another dimension without opening up some portal.

I feel like you could've just given all those things to the Byakugan and it would've worked the same.
Hell, you could've just made it so that the Jougan is an upgraded Byakugan that happened because of Karma interacting with Boruto's eyes.
I'm going to guess that the anime is going to make Boruto put out new ninjutsu moves versus the manga.

This is the real issue right here. I guess you can toss in Toneri now too.
When the series first started I was hoping they'd have Boruto use Sasuke's techniques and Sarada use Naruto's with them eventually putting their own spins on them, oh well
Boruto actually has his own techniques, don't know what happened to them though :/
the sad reality is, the only reason he has his own techniques is because his Dad taught him shit (not even clones) and Sasuke too
oh and for whatever reason he can't use his own blood limits when everyone else is running around with theirs
Technically, the Jougan is his bloodline limit. He's just shit at using it.
Boruto wouldn't be able to use Chidori without Sharingan although maybe he could with the Jougan. So I give a pass on that.
That said, Boruto has used Kakashi's Sharingaless version which is Purple Lightning.
Wish he would main that instead of Rasengan.
Boruto would be far more interesting if he had the Byakugan or could fight in the Hyuga style. Neji with the Rasengan and Naruto's chakra reserves would have been hype for him.
But he has the Jogan which we don't know what it actually is good for, despite the Byakugan already having an OP upgrade in the tensaigan.

I mean Boruto does do Hyuuga Taijutsu fighting. And in the novel, it's stated that Hinata has been training him in the Gentle Fist. (I actually think he's trained more with his mom than dad by the time we start the show)
Like....I don't think Naruto's ever done open-palm fighting.
And the fifth OP also implies that Boruto and Himawari partrake in Gentle Fist training with their mom, grandfather and aunt.

rather he stopped even doing those palm strikes and it isn't really even gentle fist since the real gentle fist uses chakra

I think the Chidori moment was great. In the second to last page I was like "no way Sarada doing Chidori", and the next panel was like "HOLY SHIT she did it"

Well he used to have a more Hyuuga-like fighting style before Sasuke made him into more of a Naruto Clone : /
Had to look up what jutsu her Mother Karui had and even then she doesn't have any beyond just lighting release. ChoCho also has lightning release.
You know what would be chill? If ChoCho learnt the Raikage lightning armour and maybe combined it with butterfly mode.

Strong silent type dude is probably not the perp...Red-haired dude probably is it since we've had several arcs where the dude thats the closest to the boys ends up being the traitor..Kamata would be interesting, he was writing notes and commissions...

I thought they did a great job of making me doubt everything I thought about Arai last time and almost really thought itd become Kamata (hope thats right name). Still they couldda changed things up and not made it Arai...actually would be interesting if it actually isnt Arai and he too was framed.

Todays episode was good, really liking this arc.
Was really hoping when that book fell it was Sarada using genjutsu, she needs to use genjutsu more often.
Is this the first potential appearance of the Jogan in the manga proper? Not counting the flashback at the beginning.
