A Pro-Trump-turned-Boomer-meme facebook page "World USA" was revealed to be operated by Ukrainians.
A once pro-Trump Facebook page, World USA, built a following of nearly 1 million users between October 2016 and late September 2019 by sharing generically patriotic, Norman Rockwellian remembrances of a bygone America. Far from being a homegrown testament to American patriotism, however, the page — based on Facebook's transparency tool — was actually run by two individuals in Ukraine.

In what may be illustrative of a broader digital influence strategy, the page appeared to be targeting older Americans. No doubt a minor player in the overall digital landscape, World USA could be representative of a larger problem facing Facebook — an inability to police the existence of clearly inauthentic pages that purport to represent the views of Americans but are actually run by people outside of the United States.
Nostalgia and cheap shows of patriotism, pitched towards old folks susceptible to scams, conspiracies and actually-fake news sources.

I like how 'committed a crime' is one of the sarcastic texts as if it is a normal everyday thing to do, commit crimes, and shouldn't be called out.

I think Ben is done pretending and has now fully embraced that he loves dictatorships.
The other day he posted a cartoon that he claims is anti-China but it can totally be seen as pro CCP propoganda. It's Xi performing a slam dunk on a basketball hoop (with the backboard saying Hong Kong and shattering) while he steps on a few apologetic NBA players while a coach says "please don't be mean to Xi". Only thing that's anti-China about it is Xi drawn as Pooh Bear.

Nothing more satisfying than Boomers thinking today's generation is soft cuz they don't want to fight and die in wars.
If you recall the 60s, boomers didn't want to do that either.

Boomers are old people, the really old people are their parents. Just like teenagers aren't millennials.

I think the idea of the comic is that even Fox News has had to admit that Trump is a criminal. It isn't sarcasm, it's irony. It's a conservative household where the wife is assuming the husband is watching CNN because the sound bites sound like the "wrong side." Modern political commentary is super partisan, constantly pointing out the failures of the other side while never wanting to admit that the one you support could have done wrong. But Trump is so bad that the last bastion of mainstream conservatism, Fox News, has had to start admitting the worst things he does wrong. Orange man bad isn't the punch line, it's the premise.

It's gotta suck when you're living in fucking Ben Garrison's shadow. And don't even get me start Jon McNaughton, the king of Gen-X political artwork:

Back in 2012 I stayed at a hotel in Oklahoma that had the first two framed and hung on the wall in the lobby, as well as some other similar pictures. It was pretty bizarre.

They also had a calendar that only went to November 6, 2012 because it was supposed to count down the days to Obama's defeat lol

Is that supposed to be Jesus or Aragorn in that first one? He's got the White Tree of Gondor on his breast.

I also wonder what mini-story is going on over there between John Quincy Adams and Abe Lincoln --"Lookit dis guy, huh?"

I know this thread isn't only for political comics, but I need help deciphering this Garrison masterpiece, because I have no fucking clue what any of this means:
