Someone popular in gaming circles invited to a big gaming event. I'm shocked...
This forum is the only place that doesn't like Boogie. Hey, he's also meeting up with Cory Barlog too. Are we gonna attack Cory like you're criticizing Geoff?
Somebody who repeatedly gave problematic people awards and now calls somebody who has nazist views a friend and publicly invites him getting criticized is completely fair. Unless you're fine with something like that, I guess.I love how everyone is turning on one of the most progressive and left leaning directors (a member of this forum) in the decade, because of a single associate that he may not be the truth about.
Christ all mighty.
Man Geoff what are you doing? Like literally every person you announced to be hosting has been good... until this.
you forgot the /s
Pretty much my reaction. I'm willing to bet much more reprehensible people will be in attendance.I mean whatever. The dude's opinions are milquetoast bland, but this isn't the end of the world.
Hmm, audience members versus people inviting, awarding, tweeting about and being friendly towards him. They're so similar!
1. Stop being a monster and using two spaces between sentences!

When the mob decides....the mob decides. Pretty stupid if you ask me.What is the big problem here? From what it looks like, he's just attending, not actually hosting or speaking.
Welcome to Era! Care to elaborate on that? What are your thoughts on some of the things Boogie has said that have brought up in this thread?
Doesn't Cory have an account here?
It's one thing if all he knows of Boogie is his gaming work, but its another entirely if he knows of Boogie's terrible hot takes and still chooses to be chummy with the dude.
That's a different topic. Please first explain how his Holocaust opinion is milquetoast bland.
I mean he's not hosting but he's gonna be there and might be shown by the cameras so it's still badMan Geoff what are you doing? Like literally every person you announced to be hosting has been good... until this.
I had no idea everyone hated this guy so much. I never liked his annoying character myself, but I thought people just didn't like how he never picked sides. What did he specifically do to garner this reaction here?
yes because fat jokes are the same as racism, sexism and homophobia, boogie.
OOF
He's also an emotional manipulative bastard. Have you heard his wife's horror stories and that hugely distasteful video he did we're he tried to present her as the bad guy?
The dude is a sociopath.
It's not hard to denounce shitty people.
I denounce Boogie, I will not associate with him on any professional or individual level, his views are harmful and ignorant and do not reflect my own.
That was not difficult.
He was given sanction to attend the event in the form of an official invitation from the creator of the event, meaning Geoff Keighly thought it wise to reach out and make sure he was able to come despite Boogie's harmful views against women, gay marriage, etc.
That's what centrists do.Why does he have this way of tweeting like he is the ONE guy that is better than anyone else and knows it all?
He absolutely does though.

Well good. It doesn't matter how popular he is, when you bring someone to your show who believes that Alex Jones deserves a platform just as much as CNN then you're killing the professionalism of your work. Geoff wants a professional awards show and bringing in people like Boogie undermine that.Well, Geoff definitely saw this thread because it says he last visited about 4 mins ago.
WhatDisgusting, I wouldn't want my game to appear in a show with white supremacists.
Only healthier on the outside.
Ironically Boogie is a fair representation of the gaming industry.
I, personally, find that to be quite milquetoast bland. It shows he is scared of conflict involving anyone. He doesn't want violence despite the fact that violence is unfortunately sometimes required, or just a possible outcome that people involved are aware of.
Anyone supporting boogie should be made aware of how shitty he is. They don't get a past for associating with shit.Okay, but that doesn't address my actual question. You seem determined to not just refuse to support Boogie (which is totally fine) - but also refuse to support anyone who merely follows him on Twitter, or maintains a professional relationship with him. So what's your exact rule regarding these secondhand associations?
