I sincerely hope that J. Allen Brack during the opening ceremony will acknowledge the situation regarding blitzchung, even with the earlier statement, and talk a bit about Blizzard Entertainment's eight core values going forward. Them trying to sweep this ordeal under the rug would be utterly disappointing and would certainly be met by a disgruntled audience at the Anaheim Convention Center. I am hoping for the case to be positively concluded, but I certainly have some reservations.

Seriousness aside, I am curious to see the next expansion of World of Warcraft. Rumors and alleged leaks talk of the Lich King being involved, and I would welcome that. And venturing to the myserious Shadowlands would be something new.

That doesn't change the fact you just implied physical violence will be inflicted on people by Blizzard for mentioning the situation in Hong Kong. That's not true and it's gross. Nothing like that is going to happen to anyone who attends this event unless its by someone absolutely unhinged and they need to have charges pressed against them if it does.
They'll likely be escorted out, I hope nothing bad happens. It's just this is gonna be really controlled with no conflict or a fine mess.

Stage opener starts with Overwatch 2. Overwatch 2 is a paid update to Overwatch, base game is going F2P.
Transisitions over to World of Warcraft where a new expansion is detailed, plans for Classic are further detailed for the coming months.
Diablo mobile is briefly talked about. Good news folks, Diablo 2 Remastered is dropping today for $20. Here's a trailer for Diablo 4 and is playable on the show floor.

Starcraft and Hearhstone are not at all mentioned. No statement is made on the Honk Kong movement.

That is all, thank you very much. Goodnight, Free Hong Kong.

pretty sure they are going to show the next expansion for HS, they do it literally every year since 2015, it's even scheduled for nov 1st and we even got a teaser

So I should be ashamed of playing Blizzard games and shouldn't discuss them?

If people care about the whole Hong Kong debate, I think we just should not act like nothing happened. Play their games, enjoy them but at least do something. In my case, it's not engaging in any Blizz hype related discussion and I urge people to do the same. If they care, of course. If not, well, it's their right to not care about such isssues.

I am curious to hear about where WoW Classic might be going, and see if they're really cooking up something big for Diablo 4. I hope that they are looking to really mix up the formula, as well as target all platforms for Day One.

Very excited for Overwatch 2, Diablo IV, WoW, and Diablo Immortal (I know, I know, but I like mobile games and thought it looked great last year).

Hoping for a good show! Very curious what the "2"in "Overwatch 2" actually means...

What are the chances of Diablo Immortal releasing during Blizzcon?

Here's hoping for a shitshow. I wish I was there to help make it happen. Fuck blizzard. They don't deserve anyone's hype or money.

Still pretty hyped for the Diablo IV reveal despite everything leading up to it (don't you guys have phones?) but I have a sinking feeling it won't be met. I'd be surprised to see Blizzard take the high road with Free Hong Kong...management is beholden to the corporate entity, and that entity is responsible for a lot of livelihoods. Lose goodwill (harder to quantify than i.e. losing WoW subscriptions from China etc.) or have your products outright banned by a dictatorship regime? Shitty situation overall, and capitalism just fuels the CCP stranglehold. Really hope businesses do unify to take the high road together and get hit in the short term -- it needs to happen.

I'm confused. Is this a real OT or a parody OT? It looks like it was designed to shame people who play Blizzard games and for people to vent their anger over Hong Kong controversy, but actually has nothing to do with Blizzcon. Will we have a "real" OT later on?

Really need this WoW expansion to be something special. BFA is the first time I've been disappointed in a WoW expansion - yes, I know that's probably insane to most people, but it's true.

Fingers crossed whatever dumb shit they cook up, looks like some kind of improvement over BFA.

Oh, and I'm down for some Diablo, too!

Why would a parody thread have real links to the real schedule, and streaming links?

There are plenty of other places to post if highlighting a company's actions for a company's conference reads like an attack and shame campaign for you.

So is that a Yeah or a Neigh on creating a Blizzcon thread with an OP relating to to Blizzcon instead of whatever this is supposed to be?

It isn't to shame fans. Please be aware that you can play their games or be a fan of those games and still speak out against blizzard's actions.

Would it be great if everyone would boycott them to force their hand? Of course. But if you're not, you can still keep the message alive and hopefully inspire others to do the same.

Boycott Blizzard. Free Hong Kong.

Like with last year, I had plans to go to the convention, but the hotel that I booked at screwed with my reservation.

Next time, I'm going to avoid the Red Lion and go elsewhere to stay in LA for BlizzCon.

As for what I'm looking forward to, Diablo II Remastered or Overwatch 2. I wouldn't mind seeing Starcraft II getting some new co-op missions.

i am really excited to see what they have

but they really need to fucking address the blitzchung situation...........that response of theirs was a joke and pathetic. I want to see what those 8 core values really mean to this company. If they don't address anything those values need to be removed from their motto

I expect (and hope) after the Overwatch 2 announcement that someone gets the "Free Hongkong" chant going.

Will be glorious.

I do not want a WoW 2 but I would be down for a Warcraft 4 and would love it that stuff eventually became a part of WoW - like it happens somewhere else on Azeroth as we're fighting another threat in WoW.

This is the OP for Blizzcon. This is where you talk about it and everything surrounding it.

You can't just make a thread about Blizzcon and tell people not to mention the China controversy.
