developed by Game Sience Studio, everything looks amazing, it immediately become one of my most anticipated game
Hadn't heard of it until you mentioned it here. How about that Monkey King: Hero is Back game from last year (?). I assume that was developed in China.
It doesn't look real for an unknown, indie dev. And it's not "unreal" in a fascinating way either IMO. I don't know. That's just my opinion of course.
It really just looks ok. My only explanation is that maybe everyone is watching this trailer on their tiny smartphones.
Good lord, that looks stunning.
The environment density really stands out.
No, it looks amazing on a large screen too.It really just looks ok. My only explanation is that maybe everyone is watching this trailer on their tiny smartphones.

That smiley is so off-putting. Shu should keep his filthy paws away from this game, if the dev wants to be on PC+all next gen consoles+streaming platforms then please let them do that.
I still can't get over this demo, brehs. Also, slightly out of touch question? But why did it take so long for a Chinese developer to breakthrough on a big scale. I wanna assume it's mostly politics but I don't want to be incorrect in my line of thinking.

What's so impressive about this demo is that it actually looks like a tangible game as oppose to the many of the ambitious tech demos you see for other games.

Home-grown, yes. PC, no. Most play time and player base are on mobile devices.
Last 20 seconds of the music in this video is a throwback reference to the famous classic opening theme of the TV version (37 sec in the video below)
I mean we have Dictator being in awe and claiming some of this is truly next gen only, but sure, must be the small screens.
The type of smoke used here has only been im two phsyx titles on PC and causes PC GPUs trouble - Yeah this is next gen!I mean we have Dictator being in awe and claiming some of this is truly next gen only, but sure, must be the small screens.
Oh i just mentioned it on Twitter.

also 60 fps target here with the models and effects is also next gen as hell - like seriously, 60 fps with the Stuff going on here is only doable on something like a Zen 2 or a big fat next gen gpu.
This likely will happen if not for this trailer. They are making a very impressive showcase. Hope they will get full fundings soon.
This looks so awesome. Here is the edited version with the original music from the 80 TV show.
Yeah, the show is definitely the main bulk of my experiences with the story. In addition, the most well known image of the monkey was from the 80s TV show production which toned down his monster like look significantly, in the original mythology he was at various times described as a scary and even monstrous being when provoked.
Don't be so naive, you know very well how it goes, it's not in any way certain that the PC release will even happen if a platform holder open the wallet. Or it could be butchered by some exclusive content deal. And what if it's a Stadia exclusive, I bet you'd love that.Good luck with that. It's supposedly by a team of just 40 people. Porting to just one other platform is time consuming, costly and hard enough, let alone porting to several, especially for such a small team. Hell, they're probably stretched thin just working on one version of the game let alone other ports.
I can't see this game being an every platform and the kitchen sink style release, at least not for a very long time, but I'd be happy to be proven wrong.
That said, if this studio accepted a massive wad of money that allowed them to grow the studio and make a better version of this game, but at the cost of being (next-gen only) console exclusive to only one platform (be that XSX or PS5), on top of the PC release, I certainly wouldn't be mad.
It is the 1986 CCTV series. That series is the definitive version for mainlanders and the mainland China diaspora.
Control PC settings. Like I said the game doesnt look any more impressive than Anthem.you have got to
1) be more specific
or
2) post something you think is more impressive and say
They also gushed over Bloodstained. So yeah.I mean we have Dictator being in awe and claiming some of this is truly next gen only, but sure, must be the small screens.
It seems fine. I'm not blown away like everyone else though.
The downplaying of this game on this thread by some people feels so damn weird. Are we even watching the same video? Do people squint their eyes while watching this video and rush to post their hot takes?Control PC settings. Like I said the game doesnt look any more impressive than Anthem.
The game is made by 13 people? It shows.

Nah lets pray they get to keep their original plan. That way they truly gets to be the savior of the industry as the mistranslation went. And they've made a demo that beats everything the AAA devs has shown so I won't doubt that they can pull off a multiplat release, especially if they're using Unreal Engine.
