That would be pretty crazy given that he'd be the first-ever Western composer to do a first-party Square-Enix Japan game.

They really are going all-in on making this appeal outside of Japan.

Someone should gif it, the footage of him conducting the live god of war reveal from the GoW documentary is awesome. It's a close up of his face when Kratos first appears and the crowd roars and he is just loving every second of it.

YES! Might his best work out of all. His use of the Hurdy Gurdy makes it stand out so much. The ending of season 3 all works because of the music.

God of War had one of the best soundtracks that year, I'd say slightly below RDR2 for me. And he's also got fairly large range. Outlander is also really good too, not much mentions I was kind of surprised in a way with that one.

He delegates a fair amount of his work to other people on his team, which is common with television composers these days. By the end of Agents of SHIELD, it's hard to say how much of that show's music he was actually writing and I know he has help on The Walking Dead as well.

Incidentally, Bear McCreary composed Capcom's Dark Void on Xbox 360 which so happens to be one of Xbox Live Gold games for April.

Yeah, I don't think the music in the trailer is from the game's OST, but surely it must be representative of the tone they're going for? Just my opinion, but I find this sound/style rather soulless and overdone. It's not bad, but I would have preferred one of SE's Japanese collaborators to do it, like Takeharu Ishimoto.

Given the amount of music FFVIIR-2 requires, I imagine most of SE's music team is working on that. Not to mention the upcoming XVI.
