The game feels good again(imo) after this latest patch. Aside from some technical glitches, like the after match report, I've been enjoying it again finally
DICESo the customization for The Last Tiger skin that you unlock by doing the single player story mission 100% is now locked again. So basically lost the cuztomizations for the Tiger that I already unlocked.

We had autobalance in BF1 DICE....we didn't have anticheat tho but that's no excuse....I love BF but I'm not reinstalling it just cause you rolled back some balancing
....dammit. I'm reinstalling it
I might just redownload the game now. The lunge mine fix and the sniper rifle buffs have me intrigued.Drops on Thursday the 5th, they ran into a last minute issue (which they fixed) but it delayed it by a day or so.

If this is true :Are the overpowered tanks brought down a little with this new update? *crosses fingers*
So far, the Jungle map + fixing the balancing mistakes. Where are we going in the next chapter?
Normandy.
Data mining found a bangalore gadget and they've been working on a beach invasion mode for awhile. They've already got the assets for the U.S. and Germany now. P51 and quad 50 cal halftrack in the datafiles as well. Guessing they introduce stuff like the Panzershrek. If they are doing significant work on the Russian Army, they are hiding it.
Also references to a Midway map, curious to see if that goes anywhere.

Tips for QUICKLY leveling up some of these damn planes?FINALLY.
FUCKING.
DONE!
All vehicles are finally max ranked. Every single one. Including those where I fucked up the build and had to play with a absolute garbage version of said vehicle.
To this system, and specifically the part where you can't fucking respec unless you've maxed the vehicle so if you picked something completely wrong that turns the vehicle from okay to Absolute-Shit:
I vehemently hate the Specialization system of this game.
Most planes can be kinda specced towards having some ground capabilities, I usually go for that as there is not always something in the air to shoot as much as there are on the ground.
Good tips. Most planes can be kinda specced towards having some ground capabilities, I usually go for that as there is not always something in the air to shoot as much as there are on the ground.
HOWEVER, on the Pacific campaign side, keep ALWAYS the specialized dogfighter airplane specced into dogfighting. Be it more light machineguns over those ground shooty guns or bombs etc. Cause more often than not if you try to grind airplanes there, there WILL be enemy dogfighters who will repeatedly shoot you out of the sky, so you want a counter for that. Be mindful though that because of the specialization system being the garbage it is, THEY will usually have more air manouverability which is the last perk down at the bottom of the tree and you will not, making them able to turn around faster and usually come up on your tail in a circle fight.
Also, the JU-88C, whatever you do, do NOT, ABSOLUTE NOT, pick the left side of the tree until you've maxed it, cause even though you wanna reach that AT cannon on the front, the third option on the tree WILL remove the one only good ground attack weapon on it, the bombs, and replace it with a goddamn camera.
yes but have him just join an empty squad then join the match. Shouldn't have to be that way though. My friend is online, playing a game right now and I can't join him because the squad is full. I can't even see which server he is playing on to join it independently. How have we gone backwards in online features?
FINALLY.

I'll say it again; Battlefield 1 is about as good as the series has been in vehicle customisation and load outs in the sense of allowing for unlocks to be available early and swapping between various loadouts effortlessly accessible. And generally the balance was pretty good (except for when they made tanks made of paper).
Battlefield 3 was fucking dogshit as it locked literally essential vehicle upgrades behind XP grind. No rockets and (from memory) flairs for jets until you levelled up using the MMG is just bewildering. Tanks without reflective armour was suicide. Just idiocy.
Battlefield 4 was pretty decently balanced by avoiding the aforementioned essential vehicle gear behind XP unlocks, but still had the issue of grind.
Battlefield 1 had plenty of its own issues but unlocking vehicles and gear was quick and easy and the snappy UI encouraged experimenting between loadouts while also clearly indicating the gear itself.
Battlefield V has no sensible function or form at all. If you're not wiki'ing you wont even know what certain skill tree paths will do, what weapons they'll completely replace, nor the advantages/disadvantages of particular choices. The UI frequently fails to communicate exactly what you'll lose by taking certain upgrade trees, or how the upgrade functions. Some upgrades are so fucking worthless compared to the alternative that they're not just a waste of XP, but also lock you into a path on the unlock tree that just further renders your choices redundant and inferior.
I get that it's hard to communicate stuff sometimes but really, and I said this right when the game launched, clearly indicating the function and purpose of certain upgrades and changes should be ABSOLUTELY FUCKING PARAMOUNT when having upgrade trees. Battlefield V's entire vehicle select system and the specialisation options is a mess of ambiguity that actively discourages experimenting and learning. Nothing is explained, feedback is poor, and the only way you can learn what a vehicle really does and does not do well, or what an upgrade does, is to invest your XP into it and fuck around trying to work it out, which is obviously going to result in a lot of dying, and inevitably regret your choices.
This was the image I saw, and I was immediately filled with dread.Edit: The thing that worries me now is how "upgraded" weapons work compared to non-upgraded. I really don't want another situation like around BF3 or so where a new player is literally worthless compared to someone who's played some and managed to unlock the very basic tools of their class (like defibrillators for the medic class) or crafts (like flares for planes). Weapon upgrades should be horizontal, unlocking options that lets you sacrifice something in order to make it better at else, rather than making weapons more powerful like "this thing straight up adds a grenade launcher to the gun".
Now we complain for team auto balancing.Okay so gunplay is mostly returned back to normal with some added nerfs. Now what?
They seemed easier to take down. Not as easy as they were to take out at launch, but not as ridiculous as they were prior. Are the overpowered tanks brought down a little with this new update? *crosses fingers*
That is the biggest issue with the game right now. Dice should give autobalancing top priority as it increases significantly the quality of the gameplay experience.
Loved the Pacific update. Then I quit with the TTK changes.
Now they change it back. How are the 2 additional maps? Wake Island and the other one. What else is left in this game? I dont know how they can constantly cut out BFV's legs and then expect some growth. I imagine the TTK negativity really hurt the Pacific update's progress
Yes, I'm enjoying the carbine again. It's nice to be able to use semi-auto rifles for the assault class again. They were such trash in the previous update.
Yep. Tanks can be super easy to take down with Bazookas and Lunge Mines. They seemed easier to take down. Not as easy as they were to take out at launch, but not as ridiculous as they were prior.
Guns have been fixed.. now if we could only get Firestorm updates and a Pacific theater Grand ops
