Battlefield 4 flashbacks intensity2 week old build and wide spread texture issues which renders the game borderline unplayable? 😬
I preordered on steam a while ago, this gave me access to the alpha. Origin says the alpha is unlocked and available to me on Steam, but I don't see it. I only see the BF2042 preorder.
Any ideas?

Yeah that does not sound right.
I don't really remember as it was a long time ago, how big was the destruction in 3? Is it comparable to say Bad Company?
One of the Medic specialists can revive at range and squad revive are back.Awww I'm playing BF4 again lately and I was hoping 2042 brings back the old revive system. The BFV system doesn't stop me from scoring tons of revive whenever I run medic so I guess I'll be fine. Wasn't there supposed to be a Specialist that can revive teammates from long range? I think I'll be maining that one when the game comes out.
I wonder if Squad Revives is also coming back. Can someone confirm that?
From a leak I saw, it might be both?Assault/Medic main here, any word on how the revive system works? Is it like BFV where you're locked into an animation or BF3/4/1 where you just have to aim the revive tool at a downed friendly?
You should never compare alphas or tech tests to the final release, even if the former runs a few months before. BF1 had about the same timeline from alpha, beta, and launch and each build saw significant improvements. That is why these are not public facing and have NDAs with registration. This game was always going to come in hot. Only 3 years after release of the last Battlefield, about 1.5 years after the last major DLC content of BF5, and like about 1.5 years of development during the COVID crisis. On top of all that, it seems way more ambitious than the last couple Battlefields.
I don't see how this thing releases this year and not be in a rather janky state.

We dont know yet. Email with code or Insider App.How do those of us in the Alpha download it for Series X or consoles? Will we get an email with a code?
I played the alpha and beta for BF1 and BFV and there are significant improvements by release from this version. The doors did not even work properly, and neither did the behemoth in the BF1 alpha. This is why they are enforcing NDA since it is intentionally unoptimized.I've been playing a lot of BFOne lately to get ready for this and…does it bode well that that build is only a couple weeks old? It looks pretty rough (understandably considering it's a technical).
Hopefully everything gets ironed out by October. Idk how I feel about the slide though. Reminds me too much of slide canceling from MW2019

Is it just going up and down? I haven't been able to connect on PC all day.
Sessions:Is it just going up and down? I haven't been able to connect on PC all day.
Getting mad flashbacks to the lead up to the launch of BF3 back at the old place. Leaked clips and all.
You can play all of them, the session time should indicate your first one.So if you're invited are you only allowed to play in the session you were chosen? I have a very early session Saturday morning lol

Does yours say pending?
Says approved for some days for meDoes yours say pending?
It says Battlefield 2042 Technical Playtest On 8/14/2021 At 5:00 AM PDT but it says pending. Does that mean I haven't been accepted or just that the session is pending?
I didn't get in then ah well nevermind.
Man, offtopic, but I would SHIT MY PANTS if I was to release an alpha/beta/final version of such a big online game and you had to keep control on it at the office. Like, looking graphs and hoping everything goes fine.
DICE are obviously experts by now, but still lol elenarie
Well, I hope the graphs look good then!
I'm old enough to remember how literally unplayable BF3 & BF4 were at the beta stage. Textures, playability and Even graphically, they both improved before release. DICE really uses the alpha/beta concept the way it's intended.2 week old build and wide spread texture issues which renders the game borderline unplayable? 😬
It seems to be standard from BF5 for normal soldiers, but one of the specialists has a syrette gun that revives from a distance? In any case, I really like the animation lock in BF5, it was controversial, but it helps a lot with the flow and strategy because you no longer have the mindless instant Metro revive chains in the middle of a hailstorm of fire. You can actually cover a downed soldier and shoot any medics that try to help, supressing the whole area essentially and ensuring a kill.Assault/Medic main here, any word on how the revive system works?
