You both make a lot of threads about old cartoons...get at it.
I like Batman Beyond. It isn't even remotely on the same level. Over multiple seasons Batman Beyond doesn't even wade into saying anything as interesting or meaningful as Spiderverse. Batman Beyond is fun, pulpy sci-fi Shlock. It isn't comparable. Is it well scripted and fun? Yeah. It's got some good episodes and adventures. But the comparison is unfair to Batman Beyond.Them's fightin' words. You can say Spider-Verse is better but I'll contest them not being the same league
Who cares? Like what you like.
No, not that lol. I told him it was better than Spider-verse and it seems I might not live up to that promise, lmao
I was born in 85 and watched Beyond as it aired.Batman beyond is leagues above and completely refreshed an already excellent source material
you can tell who were too young to experience it when it came out
From an art direction, animation, technology, film-making and scripting perspective they are not in the same league.Them's fightin' words. You can say Spider-Verse is better but I'll contest them not being the same league
Agreed. I don't know how you compare a film to tv series and the two aren't really alike beyond the "someone else wearing the mask" thing. If they were both the same format, released in a similar time frame, or reaching for the same types of tone etc then maybe a comparison would make sense but here I'm just not seeing it.
Bruh, I'm sure most folks would enjoy itBeyond is a fun kids show but good luck getting most people to ever watch it, let alone enjoy it.
Spider-Verse blows minds across all demographics

It's good but it's not even as good as Batman TAS so it doesn't really matter
From an art direction, animation, technology, film-making and scripting perspective they are not in the same league.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm not sure, I think Beyond could change their mindsim talking outside the Era demographic
anecdotally speaking, I know people who watched Spider-Verse and loved it who have zero interest in comic book media, or even find comic book movies stupid
Batman Beyond would not have changed their minds
edit: whoops, hit post a bit too fast there

Anybody stating that Batman Beyond is a kids show has either never seen it or was too young to even grasp what it was that they were watching. Some of the villains had some haunting ass deaths.
Hey, do me a favor and re-quote my post where i corrected my mistakes.Ok?
They are both trying to do very different things in the first place, that doesn't mean ones better than the other, just that one has more mass appeal than the other.
And reading this OP mad me trip solid balls
Beyond is NOTHING like base Spider-man. It's plotting was tight and expanded the Gotham into new and unpleasant ways. Gotham felt more hostile here than any other incarnation.
Indeed, Beyond goes places that Spider man very seldom went to every freakin day
That's funny.Anybody stating that Batman Beyond is a kids show has either never seen it or was too young to even grasp what it was that they were watching. Some of the villains had some haunting ass deaths.
This, really. It's not really a fair comparison because Batman Beyond had way more room to breathe and tell stories. I'm going with Batman Beyond but it's not a fair fight here.
Even with that, BB REALLY dropped the ball when JLU decided to connect everything to Bruce Wayne. It was the kind of assault that took me out of the series and made me never want to revisit it. Terry McGinnis should've been his own man. It's not really a fair comparison because Batman Beyond had way more room to breathe and tell stories. I'm going with Batman Beyond but it's not a fair fight here.
