What's the difference for RD on 3DS.
I have the DS version but I was thinking of getting a digital copy for 3DS. Did it change a couple things for the wrost?
While it is a fairly straightforward port, there are quite a few things that make it a weaker game, namely when it comes to aesthetics:I own the DS version but have never played it, why do you say it's the better version?
SMT IV !
The OST alone makes it worth your while, but you've got a whole amazing game as bonus.
Good news on that front: almost all the Etrian games on the 3DS shop have demos which are basically the first big chunk of the game. You can save your progress and it transfers over to the full version! Give em a try, especially if you're into older-school games from a time where it wasn't uncommon for players to have to sketch out maps for themselves on a sheet of graph paper.Nor have I touched Etrian Odyssey. I understand they're complex dungeon crawlers -- and no, I have no idea if I'll enjoy those either!
I just missed this sale last time as my 3DS was in storage, but I put it back in circulation after wanting to finally get around to SMTIV:A after beating TMS, and I couldn't be happier about having my 3DS now loaded with Atlus RPGs for basically the price of one new retail console game.
I've already beaten EOIV, EO Untold, SMTIV, Soul Hackers and Radiant Historia, am currently playing SMTIV:A and this sale have purchased:
EOV
EO Nexus
Devil Survivor 1&2
Strange Journey
One game I'm curious about is I've noticed that 7th Dragon is on sale. As far as I know it may appeal to fans of EO? Does anyone recommend it? And is EO Untold 2 any good?
7th Dragon III is a sequel to 2020 and 2020-2, which didn't get English releases. If I remember correctly, the story isn't too dependent on previous events, but some parts of the story won't be as significant without some prior knowledge. In terms of the game itself, it's quite similar to EO in terms of the class/skill point system, but with a 3 man party and no front/back row. It's not a first person dungeon crawler though, more of a standard JRPG where you control a character in 3d and run around on a map. The soundtrack is also by Yuzo Koshiro, so it's just as good as EO's IMO.
RE: Untold 2, I would personally rank it above EOV and EONexus. It has a story mode and classic mode, more playable classes than EOV, and isn't excessively long like EONexus. I'm also biased though, since EO2 was my favourite DS EO.
I think the games are published by a different publisher in the EU territories. Many of these games were on sale not too long ago for absolutely ridiculous prices (like 80% off). I guess that doesn't answer your question, as I don't know, but the EU sales tend to be at different times from when the sega published games go on sale like in NA.Is there a way to get notified when there are 3DS EU sales. I just checked the EU eShop due to this thread, but only Q2 is on sale...
I'm planning to get Apocalypse and Radiant Historia. But I'm not in a hurry, so can wait for an eventual sale.
I believe that Atlus games, or at least some of them, are published by Deep Silver.I think the games are published by a different publisher in the EU territories.
