Astral Chain vs Control: which game are you buying? And which of the two will sell the most?

Both.
Control on Tuesday and Astral Chain on Friday. Control is the last major multiplatform release of August so I think it's a given that it'll probably do slightly better than Astral Chain sales-wise. Especially considering we're entering September soon and people have games like Link's Awakening to look forward to. Astral Chain is there for the enthusiast crowd, but I don't think it'll set the world on fire or anything like that (though I'd like for that to happen so we get more Platinum games of course).

Day 1 for Astral Chain. I don't even know what Control is so I wont vote on which will sell more.

Same. I'll probably get Control on PC at some point but I'm waiting for reviews to drop first.
I'm buying both this week but I'm fairly sure Astral Chain will sell more. Nintendo software is just killing it lately and I feel like not that many people are aware of Control.
Astral Chain, obviously. Platinum is amazing and they seem to always deliver under Nintendo. Control looks boring, has shitty DLC practices and the last great Remedy game was like 11 years ago. It also smells like a failure, so it will probably hit Gamepass or a cheap price very soon.
I feel like I actually know that Astral Chain is coming out whereas I've heard so little of Control despite my initial reveal impressions being positive, so I'm inclined to believe the former.
As far as reception goes, Control may be more well received since it seems like it has a real unique "x-factor" to it. I'm excited for it but it's gonna have to wait.

It feels like Astral Chain blew up really fast since reveal in a similar manner to Neir Automata while Control just seems to be barely a blip on a radar.

Getting Astral Chain but I think Control will sell more. Astral Chain certainly has the best chance of any of the original Platinum Nintendo exclusives to break 1 million though.
I'm likely getting both unless reviews go bad.

Astral Chain will sell more because it's a Switch exclusive and heavily promoted by Nintendo. A big number of Switch owners know about the game and recognize it as this month's big release.

yeah, like, the *only* similarity is that they come out on the same week. We should hope they both are good games that sell well.
Control is on three platforms. Control will see deep discounts. Control will sell more copies.

I'll considerably lower my standards for a Metroidvania, but Control looked super iffy in all gameplay demos.
