Man I thought this was Turok for a moment.
The world design looked cool at the end of the trailer.

Apparently cuz it's pretty huge on Xbox and pc.
Not sure why the game kind of sucks.
I mean I have no idea what Ark is, and this is the first time I'm hearing of the franchise with the announcement of the 2nd part, so I don't know if their previous trailers didn't meet the mark, but this one claims these are in game assets, and if they are, that's pretty damn impressive.
Yes. true legit next-gen graphics with some CGI quality parts like hair ligth diffusion. This is beyond what we saw everywhere.
Hope it's still a survival crafting game. Having humanoid enemies to go with the dinosaurs would add a lot to the PvE aspects of the game.

No matter how beautiful the trailer can be, you know it won't look like that.
But I hope, genuinely hope to be wrong. Ark, despite the performance issues and awful graphics, was fun at its core.
I hope they're not gonna half ass it again to just get some quick money and actually really go all in, they'll make even more bank.

this Trailer is real time and is the expected visuals from the game when released or is this CGI?
Because it looks to good to be real time but it has some things that looks to bad to be CGI and some animations looks strange...

My brother started laughing and didn't stop for a solid five minutes when he realized it was Ark.
I repeatedly asked myself both of these questions through both trailers.
I'm still wondering even now.
maybe Microsoft picked them up and hasn't said anything about it yet? The guys who make ark are only a smallish 60 person studio. Plus Ark 2 is pc/xbox exclusive
For a good few years Ark was the darling of Steam, sold millions. They have a lot of money banked away.
So is it just a yearly Game Awards tradition now to have an extremely weird announcement involving Vin Diesel? Is TGA 2021 gonna open up with "Vin Diesel stars in: Tom and Jerry, the Battle Royale!"
I cant put my finger on why this high quality CGI model of vin diesel looks like shit, maube its his face hardly making any emotion besides scowling or maybe its the lighting
Similar to Souls in that it's told via flavor text. In thus case, Explorer Notes. An animated series of those was one of my big dreams so this is awesome. Not sure what to make of ARK 2 though.
This is legit unexpected. Ark sold millions on steam and is very popular still with its concurrent users. I'll play this is on my series x. I can't believe they got this as an exclusive.

Was kind of funny how for a good chunk of this, I would've accepted it being a new Turok game lol.
if the OT isn't Horizon Zero Dom I'll be disappointed. All that trailer did was make me wish it was Turok
Is this a joke post? Game is hugely popular still to this day with new content having been released not that long ago. Still charts pretty high on steam most played games all the time.
This is a big get for MS imo.
On Xbox ark is continuously a top 10-15 most played game for like 4 years now. And it's one of the most played game pass games. It's huge on console just like roblox but it's not an enthusiast type of game
