See it makes no sense at all why these playlists are not able to sync. The contents are all fine. Nothing is marked as not eligible and not uploaded anymore. All my music is now uploaded to the Cloud, even all my Overclocked remixes. But for some reason a whole bunch of playlists won't upload at all. It's not my fault in this case. It's the software. It's also inconsistent. I have a Smart Playlist I'll show you here, it has a handful of songs in it, what you see in the screenshot is all the songs in it. Not one of them is marked as ineligible. But it won't upload. It just points to the main "Date Added" (Which I was calling "Newest") playlist and shows songs with less than 5 plays. But a lot of Smart Playlists uploaded so it's not a problem with that. And a lot of SP that point to other SPs got uploaded.

I know that of course. But it's still showing the same amount of space as it was before I signed up for Match so obviously it kept everything. Which makes it even worse because there's songs from playlists on my phone that I can't get to because I can't reach the playlists because they won't sync.Seems obvious so I'm sure you know this but...
Settings > iPhone Storage > Music
This shows you everything stored locally and space taken up when using iCloud Library. You can delve and delete individual songs if need be.
Anyway, if I go into there and tell iOS to delete all the music, it'll just remove it and set it to "downloadable" and I can manually download only what I want, right? It won't delete any playlists or anything important?
I will try that.Correct. What I would do is delete all the local music off your phone, turn iCloud Music Library off and back on in iOS' settings, and see if that forces a more accurate resync
All I wanted from it was automatic syncing of play counts and metadata, which kind of works. It synced the one song I listened to on my way to work this morning, but hasn't synced the ones I listened to during the day yet and I can't force it. That was the only feature I wanted. I wasn't asking for much really. I don't get why iCloud takes too long to update.
My watch (s1) does this too, but it does usually catch up right away and then starts to give the proper directions.
Anyone have an issue when mapping with Apple Maps on the watch kind of gets... stuck? I'll start navigating from the Watch, it goes fine, but then I'll flick my wrist up and see that it never updated past a couple turns ago, and it takes another moment to catch up. It SEEMS like it's catching on my phone actually, since when I raise it up I see my phone is behind as well, and it doesn't update until I look at it. I still have to do some more tests, like I think it only does this when I start mapping from the Watch and not from the phone.
Just wanna see if I'm alone here. It's quite annoying
I will have to check this tomorrow with my watch. I will say I notice the catching up occur more often with the signal dropping, particularly when taking the train into my work.If I check the Watch often it's fine, but it seems like it stops if I go like five minutes without looking at it
I haven't really looked into this yet, but is it possible to Bootcamp Windows onto an external SSD? I don't want to partition my internal drive, but would like to have a 250/500GB external SSD to run Windows 10 on.
Awesome! Bookmarked.Yep I have done this, used the info from here http://markthetech.com/how-to-boot-camp-usb-3-0-external-hard-drive/
Did it for some games in Windows 10 on my Macbook Pro, it actually worked really well and I did not notice it being slow.
I was curious how much data I use/download on my iphone so I went to settings -> cellular -> Current Period and it says 78.0gb for the past 8 days 17 hours.
However, if I dial *DATA# then I get a text message saying I've used 606.78mb of Unlimited.
Is the 78gb number wrong, or does that mean that only ~600mb was through celluar data and the rest was through wi-fi? I'm on the latest iOS.
Ah, it says Oct 11, 2015 was the last reset. The cellular tab doesn't count anything over WiFi, so trust your carrier on that one rather than iOS.
The cellular tab won't give you how long the current period has been in days or hours, it'll be a "last reset" date all the way at the very bottom. With 78 gigs yours was likely a long time ago
Now that you mention it I haven't gotten any in the last day or two.Anyone have News app notifications stop coming in sometime today? Normally I get tons throughout the day but past this morning I got nothing. I would expect the passing of the tax bill to be blowing up my phone
I don't think the measure under fire right now was applied to phones pre-6. But yeah, performance on my 5S was rather bad and battery erratic with random shutdowns. But what to expect from a battery that has been used exhaustively over the time span of 4 years. We really need a new battery tech that doesn't degrade as fast.Hmm wonder if this is why my 5s performance feels like ass sometimes. The better does seem inaccurate and seems to jump all over the place. Granted it's really old by tech standards at this point.
Why would a thermometer support HomeKit?Are there any Thermometer that dont cost more then 50$ that support Homekit?
To create triggers and scenes for other HomeKit Devices. I would love to have a routine that activates my Eve Thermo, whenever its below 10 Celsius or something like this
Likely means a thermostat not a meter.
Ah! That explains it.
Now that you mention it I haven't gotten any in the last day or two.
So I turned on news notifications for my iPad and a ton of them backfilled (all the way to Sunday) but there's nothing since Tuesday at 7pm.
Something is definitely up, I woke up to no new news notifications on my iPhone or iPad
I woke up to like 5-6 notifications from the middle of the night from News. I don't think I got a single one yesterday though.
Touch ID on my 5s is terrible now. It was never great compared to the upgraded version on the 6, but it's become useless over the past year.On my 5s, I've set up Touch ID for my thumbs and my index fingers. With my thumbs, it works pretty reliably. But for my index fingers, I have to re-add the fingerprints every few days. At some point, it gets worse and worse, until it hardly ever recognizes them.
Usually, it takes a few days until Touch ID stops working, but this time, I didn't have to wait that long: I set up the fingerprint for my right index finger yesterday in the evening. I tried it a few times afterwards, and it worked perfectly on each attempt. Now, barely one day later, it doesn't work anymore, no matter how I place my finger.

Hey, do you guys use an antivirus application for your Macs?
I just scooped a MBP for personal use. If I have a friend that watches tons of porn on really sketchy sites using my Mac, will my computer explode without a decent antivirus app? What're some good applications?
Already got one. Loving this thing. MBPs are king.I do not. I used to use Avast but it made my computer run noticeably worse.
For that scenario I would scoop a powerful and reliable ad blocker
