Apex was never declared dead at any point.Wasn't this declared dead early on? It's found its legs for sure.
Plain and simple.

Yeah, and even more players on mobile (2nd highest revenue worldwide in 2018-2020). But nobody talks about PUBG here, so it's dead lol.People on here think PUBG is dead and that still gets 400k peak players on Steam.
If my memory serves, you don't have to launch Origin. You only need to sign in to your Origin account in-game once.So you can play this on Steam now and you dont have to use Origin? or does it launch it?
The menus always confused I could never get how to buy stuff like the heroes etc. like the cheapest way.

Wonder if it's still sporting the worst netcode in the entire genre.

When you feel like taking the statement "game X is dead" seriously, consider that a lot of people say that PUBG and Pokémon GO are deadWasn't this declared dead early on? It's found its legs for sure.

Getting back into the game made me rewatch the Giantbomb video when Apex was first unveiled and they were experiencing it for the first time (well, Brad had played it, but Jeff and Ben were seeing it fresh).
It was not only a bit nostalgic seeing the original King's Canyon map, it also was a stark reminder just how flat the UI used to look, and all the mechanics Apex brought that now just seem like no-brainers.
I had legit forgotten that Apex was the first BR game (that I'm aware of) to include a respawn mechanic. I just remember playing Fortnite, and once you were out, you were out. But things like that, the contextualized ping system, etc. It's incredible to think that that stuff wasn't there before, and the game is only two years old. Going back to Overwatch after Apex came out made it feel just so primitive.
Last time I've visited the official thread here it was mostly people complaining about the game and said they're quitting lolIf you listen to a lot of people on here then Apex dies every couple of weeks lol
I know a lot of the Destiny pvp community is picking up Apex recently. Surely somewhere in the mix of MAU are a bunch of us from Destiny 2 As of recent.
Yeah it's pretty dope. They seem to have the midas touch at the moment.I absolutely love seeing Respawn succeed. Titanfall was such a blessing and I was worried, but the one two punch of Apex + Fallen Order secured their well being.
No.
Best BR on the market. Hope EA doesn't make the next Battlefield BR to compete with themselves.
Also been playing it a ton more, last update is super good
Respawn consistency in delivering gems this gen is among the best. Well deserved, Apex made BR make sense to me lol

It's true though, they're one of the few companies nowadays that have me excited for every new project.
They've shaken things up considerably from 1 to 2. It took me a while to get used to it and I also considered the first superior. However, the extra movement options are just too good. It just takes time to adapt.Honestly my only miss from them so far is Titanfall 2's multiplayer. It's so meh to me, and they have way fewer maps than Titanfall 1, even though honestly on the whole Titanfall 1's maps where better. The ones they brought over were classic, but they honestly should have brought them all over. But the multiplayer just has other problems for me. For some reason shooting feels flat, and I hate all the shit on screen, coming from Titanfall 1 which was elegant and honestly just perfect in the UI space. It's still a good multiplayer though. It just didn't grab me. Do love the grappling hook though. Wish I loved the rest of it so I felt the desire to play more and get good at the grappling hook.
