I don't get how anyone could think pivoting away from discussing the ongoing national crisis would be a good look for the president. Like yeah he's fucking up a ton right now, but maybe they should try to focus on getting him to improve his messaging on this rather than trying to avoid talking about the issue on literally every person's minds right now. Trump's basically dug himself into a hole here because he didn't do anything on this issue until way too late, but I'm not sure why they think people will forget if he doesn't talk about it considering how pervasively this has affected (and continues to affect) everyone in the country

I wonder if you want him to talk about the economy being great when unemployment is as high as it is.

Not like he'd care either way as long as the stock market is going up, but it is probably something you don't want to do on an election year.

Then again, there is such a large pile of stuff that should sway people away from him, too, but we cannot keep up with the sludge he creates daily.

heres the thing, is she defending him? yeah. end of the day, they wage more influence inside than outside and that means bending the knee, and im okay with it as long as they can convey the need to keep coronavirus at bay. like who else can sway him more? Republicans? spineless. Democrats? he hasn't spoken to Pelosi in months. We do not need him completely detached from reality. well, it would help democrats in November, but he can make things worse anyhow till then.

It's only been three days. Birx has come off as a Trump lackey the whole time honestly. Fauci has been a lot more blunt.

Trump has said things as dumb as this before but they weren't so simple that everyone can see how dumb they are and it can't be spun. This comment is.

Has anyone come up with a list of all the preposterous shit Trump has suggested? Things like an invisible border wall with alligators, drinking disinfectants to get rid of the coronavirus, getting rid of voting by mail, etc.? I'm sure the list would literally be hundreds or thousands of entries long.

Birx should be upset about the fact that Trump said such absolute bullshit in the first place and not that people are repeating pointing out that what he said is incredibly dangerous.

The fact that she's not even the least big hung up on that makes her opinion mean jack fucking shit to me and countless others. She's part of the problem.

from the wording, these letters are actually for people who had their money direct deposited so you'll probably get one eventually

The IRS will still send you that notice even if you received your payment by direct deposit.

Well that seems like an absolute waste and an additional burden to the USPS, which is supposedly a complete waste according to Trump. You'd think he'd have a better way to avoid using them if he hates them so much.

Dr Birx is partly responsible for the conversation still being about the disinfectant thing because she had the opportunity to set the record straight and advise the American people appropriately on the spot and she did not take it.

They know he's going to talk anyway, so they want him to talk aobut the economy because it's just easier to lie about. Even if the economy actually sucks it still a safer subject than the virus.

The President pushed an untested drug for weeks and then said to inject disinfectant and light during daily health updates. The news should focus on this so people won't go and get themselves killed because their leader isn't just doing nothing but actively working against them through his own stupidity.
