Objectively, I'd AC4 that good? Maybe not, but I couldn't put it down. Maybe it was the sea shanties. Maybe it was the big cheer you got when you took the helm.
UC4 speaks for itself. Played it after giving up on Witcher 3. Seemed like the perfect antidote to open world fatigue.

Stardew Valley likely jumped in there myself, other contenders would be FF7:R, Sonic Mania, Mario Odyssey to name a few. I can't say that I really think about what's in my top 10 very often anymore (It was way easier 15 years ago).

Bloodborne, absolutely. Probably nothing else to be honest. This gen was great, but it was also the gen of good games but not great games in my opinion. Most of the games people loved this gen like BOTW, Hollow Knight, Nier:A, Persona 5 etc. I found to be extremely mediocre or just bad in general.

I'd say at least half, honestly. Bloodborne, Persona 5, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Spider-Man, Ghost of Tsushima, Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry 5, and Metal Gear Solid V are all competing for spots on that list. That's just off the top of my head. Last generation was the best generation that wasn't the PS2 generation.
Last of Us Part 2 and God of War 2018 are the only two that come to mind. TLOU2 is probably my no. 1 game tbh or close to it, unforgettable experience.

No Man's Sky and Dead Cells are pretty much locks for my all time top 10 at this point, and NMS might be a personal top 3
Crusader Kings 2 is the easy one. Technically the game came out before last gen started, but the game as it stands now is not the same game at launch so I am counting it.
After that it gets to the maybe category. Age of Decadence, Oxygen Not Included, Star Traders: Frontiers, Divinity: OS2, and Wasteland 3 all fall into maybe.
There are also a few games like Disco Elysium I need to finish that might change things.
