Amazon has been weird about stocking this for some reason. The listing appears to have been gone for at least 10 days now. Strange that this seems to be happening more and more with them.
Yeah there are a few weird issues with the pre-order / code situation. For example people who pre-ordered directly through Xbox and PSN storefronts still can't access their friend codes, and all the devs have said on twitter is that they are "pretty sure" we will be able to get them after the demo actually goes live on the 25th. I'm in the same boat as you, trying to get my brother on board with Anthem and really hope I can give him one of my codes..
Problem is, nobody in the past couple of hours in this thread has even mentioned the AI. Most everyone in here is excited to get into the game. I think most people, especially with the upcoming demos, are capable of making their own decision as to where they want to spend their money. Not everyone is looking for Souls like combat here...

They hadn't planned on including it, as the hub world is single-player only. But they got a ton of feedback from people hoping a social could be added in, so its really cool to see they are making it happen.

Nice, you lucked out. A lot of people are having the issue I described unfortunately, including me. The devs have addressed it on twitter but there still isn't a definitive solution.
There was one for the preload I think, but I'm sure someone will post a countdown to 5pm UTC Friday when the demo goes live.

You need to have an EA account linked to your PSN ID. Then presumably when the demo goes live you will get access. I'm in the same boat.
People are surprised and excited because they had previously said they weren't including one.
Yeah... after seeing so many storm and interceptor videos where they are basically launching snowflake darts and throwing vials of acid on people, it is awe-inspiring to see the sheer destructive force of the Colossus.
No, some end game activities require other players though, but most things, including the entire story, can be played solo.
