Oh that sounds awesome, I will be looking forward to that video series! I know having a visual representation of each ability will definitely benefit the community and help people trying to understand which ability might suit their playstyle :). One thing I am worried about is that the build version in the demo may still be using the old names, because I remember seeing a tweet from Mark Darrah which mentioned that the demo build was made in December. However, I agree that it would be great to be able to test a few things, such as explosive versus impact/kinetic damage for some of those abilities we are still unsure off!
On a related note, I just stumbled unto the colossus's flak cannon ability from a french EA gamechanger and here is the video link in case you need that to get the animation details (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=st8PqPOjhds). Flak cannon is the heavy assault launcher gear on the bottom right, and it looks like it is just a pure damage ability! I've also included a screenshot of the ability icon below.
Great catch! Thanks for that. I do think we'll see names of abilities be old/outdated, I may end up reverting them just so that everything from the demo is accurate on the chart next weekend. Then do a 1.1 release once the full game is out next month and we have the final names of everything and then call it a day with the chart there. I've added a little thing below the chart for the V1.0 release next week that says "All Ability names are subject to change upon release of the full game* just so people know.
I'm somewhat... upset/confused that it seems that the demo starts all players in the Ranger and then once you level up you can choose 1 other Javelin. So for example Ranger and Storm. I kind of wanted to play all 4 Javelin's across 2 accounts (Storm/Interceptor and Ranger/Colossus respectively) but looks like I'll have to play a third and go for: Ranger/Storm, Ranger/Colossus and Ranger/Interceptor. I just want to try them all out and also get as much footage and screenshots of abilities as I can to refer back to for the damage chart and such. Hope this just isn't the game and we can choose whatever Javelin we want to begin with and when we level up but a lot of people have reported that you start in the Ranger and get 1 unlock to try one of the other 3 Javelins too.
