I don't know how I feel about this. The third season was the definition of sublime for me. But then new Lynch is always intriguing...
I loved the tone/vibe of the season 3 finale. I want more of that.
The giant space worm that came from the nuke and shat out Bob, still needs to be defeated.
The Return may have one or two duds, but such was the strength of the majority of it that it's legitimately the greatest single season of TV I've ever seen.
So, YES. GIMMIE MORE!
Honestly the 2020 tweet could just be a celebration of Twin Peaks, and not even necessarily a new season as that site seems to imply. I guess time will tell. I do hope that whatever Lynch is gonna do is quick, because I feel every odd day another actor related to Twin Peaks dies.

I do actually. That word in particular is important to my work as a writer.I have a feeling you don't know the definition of sublime. Haha.
Didn't care for S3 really, outside of a few great scenes, but I'd be down for more.
Wrote my post precisely because of that, and Peggy Lipton's passing a couple of months ago, as well. (Thankfully Norma and Ed's arc is complete, and was probably one of the best scenes in The Return).
give up on the hope that it will ever happen this way and I think you'll be happier honestly. S3 was the clearest possible statement from Lynch that he would never consider doing it that wayI hope this happens and that it turns back to being more like S1/2. The greatest thing about twin peaks for me was the surreal soap opera. Season 3 was interesting as a Lynch fan but not as a Twin peaks fan imo.
