The only interruption the players should get is the save dialogue. The whole airplane landing sequence is completely unnecessary.

Is there a bug with lost items? I can ask a villager about it, but when I open my inventory I can't select the item.

You get it for free when you own the ACNH switch in real life. :)I shook a tree and... out popped a hipster mustache! Or whatever it was called. Nice.
I then caved and dropped 36k on a ACNH Switch. My reasoning being I'm in no rush to pay off my house, but who knows when that Switch will show up again in Nook.
Performance seems great. No good way to talk to them (does the app work or something?). You are locked out of some stuff like donating to the museum. From what I could tell you can't give the person anything. I was able to pick his tree and plant in my place but nothing beyond that.
But the worst part is that it doesn't seem like you can just go somewhere and explore. You have to open your gate (and for some dumb reason, you can't keep it open when you go somewhere, it automatically closes).
why can't someone just pop in and be there? Why can't I leave my island open to friends?
An Axe (as in, not flimsy or stone) cuts them down after three hits!
Ironically enough... use a Flimsy axe and only hit it 3 times. That way the tree doesnt get killed.
The better tools can kill a resource

Nah the flimsy axe just has two upgrade paths.

One of my roommates wound up having a ResetEra member visit their island through me somehow, lol. His island's name is Koholint and he bumped into a stranger whose island name is also Koholint and they had a good time.
Stringfish: 4p to 9 am on the cliffs (second or third layer) very big shadow
Tuna: off the dock, all day, pretty big shadow, I think
Sharks: don't know, not sure if they're in the northern hemisphere this month
colelecanth: Any time that it's raining. Anywhere in the ocean, very big shadow.
The worst feeling: trying to farm tarantulas on a random island when the game insists on spawning Mole Crickets.

Got two copies, one for me and my kid - in hindsight I should have just bought one so we could live on the same island. Not being able to send her letters and gifts without her inviting me to visit is a bit disappointing.

I think, but don't know for sure, that it doesn't matter. I believe all that changes is number is uses before breaking.
'It's clunky, but if you select the thing in inventory, you can choose to grab one. Do that for the amount you want to sell.
