User Banned (5 Days): Body Shaming; Inappropriate Rhetoric; History of Inappropriate Commentary
Apparently saggy titz has moved onto some other micro-YT-controversy to leech off of.

Absolutely shocking news to learn that one of the big Amico "fans" was actually in it for the drama than the actual console, can't believe it.

wasn't she one of the loudest and most 'passionate' about Amico? woooooooow oh well

She was too young to have been around for the original Intellivision to have any brand loyalty to it nor was she a gamer of any kind. I believe she was transparently vocal about piggybacking this whole Amico thing to grow her (pathetically small) YouTube channel.

What's downright weird is she even showed up to one of those in-person events!

You're definitely right , seems about right. Cause now on twitter it says she's going out of her way to say she never ever promoted the Amico just 'defended' it which is totally not the same. I could've sworn I saw her in a video with others yelling about the Amico haters or something.

The principals behind Intellivision seem to not want to insert their feet into their mouths without having other people's money to burn while doing it. Things are so quiet.

Tommy's gone into exile and the more sapient Youtubers have abandoned ship, so that's at least 75% of the catalysts for drama out of the picture.

In the small chance that there actually is someone dumb enough to throw money at Intellivision (or shameless enough to take advantage of their desperation and offer them a bum deal), the silence makes sense. You don't want to do something to fuck up the valuation or run afoul of trading laws in a situation like this.

Of course, it's far more likely that the abysmal Startengine performance made them realize that the buffet's closed, so they folded up their card tables and moved on. Tommy was the only one who actually kinda cared / had his enormous ego on the line. The new leadership isn't going to put in any effort hyping things up if there's no return in it.

There's nothing of value to the company or what remains of its tattered brand for Phil Adam to pitch at a bankruptcy fire sale.

What did they spend millions on in "proprietary technology" for R&D and to pay all those Alvarado family members on the payroll for?

Ehh, I think there's still something there, if you can get it dirt cheap. The Amico stuff is a white elephant, but there's value in owning the Intellivision name and IP, at least for licensing purposes. They'll never sell gangbusters, but you could fart out a plug and play or rom collection every once in a while and get a modest return.

Or you could always pull a Sudesh and roll the dice on a shitty deal. Give them a comparatively small amount of money that it won't hurt you to lose, with the payoff being ridiculous if they do actually succeed.

am I the only one that remembers that the new head guy said he would release new info at the end of Feb?

Amazingly John Alvarado has been so busy to justify his huge salary, yet he's still had enough time to continue his Facebook posts about antifa mobs, Capitol storming conspiracies, social media companies being socialist, pro-Trucker rally posts, election conspiracies and more.

Clearly earning his dough with such dedication.

I remember, mostly because the day after that deadline is when they shut down their StartEngine early (and AFAIK, completely unannounced) after a few of their handful of investors started to nope out of there.

Wow. I was expecting really bad, but not...that. Dude could lose a rap battle to Mitt Romney.

They nixed that with the cooling off announcement.

I thought this referred to the StartEngine comment from CFO Nick where he was all over the place talking about potential this potential that BS to try to desperately beg for investment, about needing to redesign the Amico to add active fans because they never tested in warm climates.

Honestly at this point it does kind of feel like bullying. Like I get the venom towards the people behind the console and small-time YTs trying to run a grift. But these people on Facebook clearly have some giant holes in their life that they're trying to fill with this thing, and honestly if having a vaporware console to "look forward to" gives them what they need to get them through the day, let them be.

I don't know what people gain from telling them it's "cult behavior" other than the satisfaction of an easy dunk. Maybe I'm missing something though, I've never actually seen the Facebook group.

Yeah I can see that. But in the group, the stuff coming from the other side is a lot more vicious. Questions or anything along those lines are met with abuse by the diehards, telling them to shut up, questioning their "loyalty", that they're blocking/reporting them etc.

I guess I just don't understand why there are "sides" to begin with. It's a group for the Amico right? At this point why would anyone even be going there still if they weren't part of the "I've got a death grip on the Amico because it's going to fix my life" crowd. It's never coming out, Tommy has vanished into the ether, and the YTs are moving on to new grifts. Why would someone who wasn't interested still go there, let alone antagonize the people that are.

Seems like at this point everyone wins if they're just left to their bubble.

Yeah I agree it's unnecessary now, when it looked like their might be even a tiny slither of people who were going to be duped by all this then it was fair enough calling them out, but now it's just a bunch of losers in an echo chamber people should probably just leave them to it.
Having said that, i get that its hard to give it up- I'm still rubbernecking at these odd middle aged men with subscriber numbers that make Amico pre-order figures look good. Self-delusion is fascinating, especially when the people involved are so unlikable.

If you had seen Tallarico's boasts as they were happening, you might feel differently. He's gone quiet now, and some of the most embarassing stuff has been hidden and swept away, but for those who remember, it doesn't feel like bullying, it feels like holding back and being kind, but still feeling the need to say something.

Or maybe there's some value in pointing out exactly what happens, in an effort to help make sure this doesn't happen again? Also, doomsday cults are fascinating and we're probably more susceptible to them than we think we are.

Seeing all this new info about the Amico YouTubers, as well as going on their past behaviour, its very clear that Tommy deliberately went after some very vulnerable YouTubers to use as spokesmen and publicity.

That's not to say they are innocent or anything, I just find it very sad.

The losers may be those that he ended up with, but at the beginning he did "reach out" to every single critical YouTuber/writer to try to brainwash them.

Yes, that's part of why people say this fits the pattern of a cult.

Prey on the lonely and vulnerable, tell them that you and only you ah e what they need

Cut out everyone else, encourage an "us vs them" mindset

Have them perform tasks for you as a kind of loyalty test, choose those who are most useful to the cause

Gaslight them into thinking that others are jealous or out to destroy them

There are probably some resources here for the cult folks or people who love them: https://freedomofmind.com/

After Saggy and the remaining cult attacked Trash JT for his change of heart, it's amazing that she dropped the Amico thing immediately to move onto whatever Twitter drama she's on now.

I like to imagine somebody from the "faith-based community" somehow finding out about the Amico and researching it further, and in the course of their research they stumble across videos of someone named "Saggy Melonz" screaming about perceived traitors for three hours.
