Seems like it's going to be rough for AMD in the long run since Nvidia will smoke them in games with DLSS support. No mention of anything similar to DLSS doesn't bode well for them having anything in the pipeline any time soon.
How many of the games in AMD's graphs actually support DLSS? Some people act like every game has that.

Pretty much in line with my predictions. Expected the 6800 to be $499 though. called $1k on the 6900xt.

Probably picking up a 6800xt.

Very interested in the 6800xt. If it beats the 3070 and has twice as much vram...yeah it's exciting.

Need to hear about RT performance though

Need to see ray tracing performance comparisons before I jump
Can't get an nvidia card as it is
Would snap that 6900xt if it's juicy for RT

This sounds really good... but of course we need to see the ray tracing benchmarks. And there's still the DLSS elephant in the room. But damn!

Nothing too surprising stuff overall. Good prices and performance. Lack of Ray Tracing performance was a bit disappointing, but they are clearly not up on Nvidia levels. Rumors and leaks so far suggest above 2080 Ti performance. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Presentation was no more than solid imo.

According to the disclaimer slides at the end, they did the Nvidia GPU testing with the same Ryzen CPU + Memory, so mostly apples to apples with the frame rate stuff.

I guess thats a decent lineup but given the chance I would still choose a 3080 in a heartbeat. 50 dollars is not worth the dlss and raytracing hit.

Same performance as the 3070 but double the ram and half the PSU required.. Very interesting..

Half the PSU required? What? The 3070 has a TDP of 225 watts and the 6800 has board power of 250. It's actually more power hungry than the 3070. I'm of course excluding overclocks, because both cards are going to be batshit if you push to the edge.

No word on RT performance has me worried, otherwise seems nice performance overall for good price and power consumption.

Did they say anything else about RT other than "it supports it"? The liveblog I'm following makes it seem like they did not.

Still nothing concrete on raytracing. Showing rasterised benchmarks is only half the picture, next generation is about raytracing.

No word on Ray Tracing and that 6900 XT vs 3090 comparison had a +RAGE Mode +Smart Performance asterisk, but I'm glad Nvidia has competition again.

Outside of the 6900 potentially making the 3090 null and void, that sure was a nothingburger. Will wait for benchmarks on these cards before issuing a purchasing decision, but I suspect I'm going to be sticking with team Green for my graphics.

See now that's a pretty decent price for the 6900xt, unlike the other cards.

This show didn't do anything for me. I'd still rather have the 3070 over the 6800.
Yeah, if anything this has strenghtened my belief that I should wait for 3080s to become available. If the 6800 was 500€, that would have been interesting.

Wow, really happy I never got a hold of an 3080 now. All that at that wattage as well... I think I am going back to AMD for the first time since three cards back

smart thing optimized + OC 6900XT higher rasterization than 3090 base, that's good for the price.
but for the RT we'll have to see, and with the non optimized games as well :)

still , they are at a good position if RT is decent enough on the 6900XT

I have to see Canada prices once (if) they are available to see the comparisons. Also of course non-hand picked benchmarks, but it is nice to see in theory some competition.

RT won't be as good as Ampere. We knew that going in.

But the 6900 XT is $500 cheaper than a 3090 and offers similar levels of performance. That's insane.

Well, that 6900 price certainly makes the 3090 look even more stupid expensive. Not that I'm in the market for anything that high regardless.

Hot damn, in for the 6900XT assuming I can get one at launch. 3090 performance for $500 cheaper is incredible.

Disappointed. All cards costing over $500 doesn't sound like "having something for all budgets" to me. Looks like getting a console is the only way to experience next-gen for those on a tight budget.

6800 XT looks the best of the stack but I'm still worried after the 5700 XT launch which was a month of driver bugs, game crashes and OS lockups before I finally gave up and sold it for a 2070. I know they eventually fixed up the drivers a couple months in but I don't wanna go thru that again.

I'm gonna wait it out and see how the driver situation is before I even think about buying.

So I see why the 6800 was priced where it is but thought amd would match 3070. Still think they should have.

6800xt looks like the one to get

6800 is 16GB with infinity cache which makes it worth the higher price for 4k gaming against 3070
