Gotta say I'm pretty excited for Luchasaurus. Name sounds terrible till you see him work. Guy knew what he was and made it his gimmick. He was a dude to tall and in shape to be a lucha. He looked like he should be a Kane style dude. He said fuck it. He made himself a Kane like Lucha outfit that was green, called himself Luchasaurus, did his flips and fast paced stuff and did hard counters with press slams and chokeslam stuff between flips.

Gotta love it when guys can make gimmicks that let them be themselves. Hell just look at what it did for the American Dream when he made his own stuff before Vince got a hold of him. Really eager to see Luchasaurus and if he gets himself over out there. He's been improving on pacing and getting cleaner at Bar Wrestling so I could see him being a new Kanyon/Mortis sorta guy in the ring for a fed. He's got the moves.

Another good one showing him bein all agile

Name sounds pretty fucking awesome to me actually and hes got a look that stands out.

Jungle Boy and Devil Dinosaur could be a fun tag team for AEW.

Holy shit, this dude looks like he could be AEW's Kane. Like, back when he was still scary.

And good.

I've loved the look of this guy since I first became aware of him a month or two ago when he and Wardlow were rumored to being scouted by AEW. Looking forward to seeing what he can do.

Luchasaurus is real cool. Saw him for the first time at the first few Bar Wrestling events and instantly became a fan. He's a nice guy too.

Really like that bit with Glacier. Imagine being interested in a Glacier promo in 2019, crazy world we live in.

There's now 17 known entrants in the Casino Battle Royal btw

Sonny Kiss
Brandon Cutler
Ace Romero
Glacier
Brian Pillman Jr
Sunny Daze
MJF
Joey Janela
Dustin Thomas
Billy Gunn
Jimmy Havoc
Michael Nakazawa
Jungle Boy
Isiah Kassidy
Marq Quen
Luchasaurus
Shawn Spears

4 spots remaining

"The Librarian" Peter Avalon isn't doing anything this show, right? Maybe he'll be one of the four. Jack Swagger could probably be another, and
Moxley
.

Honest to god, besides finding out who #21 is, I think I'm most excited to see Glacier whoop some ass in that battle royal. I hope they don't pull a WWE and job him out quick. Let him get an elimination or something.

There's an independent luchador who goes by Sub Zero who has the whole MK gimmick, including a Sub Zero mask. He's a rather average luchador, but maybe hire him, change his look just enough to file off the serial numbers, and team him up with Glacier acting as his mouth piece/grumpy veteran mentor, ala Mr. Wrestling II. That way we get him doing his stuff in a way that doesn't over expose him and we can have more good promos like that.

Please pair Luchasaurus with Glacier. He's already doin a LOT of the old Mortis/Kanyon spots.

If they dont pair Luchasaurus and Glacier together like the new Mortis/Glacier scene it'll be a crime in the preshow. The way he moves would be perfect to run some old Kanyon spots with. Bet he'd do great doin Kanyon's Northern lights counter to apron ddt attempts. He literally already runs the rest of the spots they used to showcase for Mortis vs Kanyon matches in his own matches.

I actually got to speak with Ray Lloyd (Glacier) a few times couple years ago. A pure hearted, INCREDIBLY nice person. like damn he makes you feel like Santa could actually be real and was an ice ninja all along.

Always felt he was super underrated back in the day too. His gimmick was a little bit too late for sure, but his matches at Bash at the Beach and many of his Nitro and Pro matches are fast paced wrestling/martial arts hybrids that is pretty common on the indies now. His stuff from UWFI is interesting too.

The New Day make a ton of money with and for the WWE. There's zero chance they're going anywhere any time soon.
Ah, shame. I only knew of them through that SFV battle with the Bucks/Omega (and maybe a Clueless Gamer?) but figured they'd be a good fit for AEW.

Thanks for filling me in! (and to the next responder, too)

Maybe they could be, but the thing is, they're one of the only stables in WWE that has any kind of say in their characters and gimmicks (at least that's what various interviews seem to imply), which unsurprisingly is why they're so over.

Just to repost again Punk is commentating at CFFC 75 on Saturday in California so there's not really much of a chance of him appearing at Double Or Nothing unless its something pre-taped.

Meltzer said on WOR that AEW will be revealing how they will crown their first heavyweight champion in the next 24 hours

I don't think he'll be a part of it regardless, but they could always just have a pre taped video or something like Jericho has done.

I think the most we get out of Punk this weekend is he MAYBE says "Congratulations to my friends holding a successful event in Las Vegas tonight" at his MMA thing.

I feel like you'd want to save Punk's debut for All In 2.

Obviously they have enough up their sleeve that they're announcing Shawn Spears before the PPV.

Oh he's definitely never coming back to the WWE. But he said he would have done All In if they had sent him a real offer. I think AEW is a very real likelihood for him in the near future.

I'm maybe mistaken don't think he said he would have done All In. I believe he was asked about whether he got asked to do it and said he's never received a formal offer (X amount of money to perform on a specified date) from anyone to return to wrestling.

Listening to Jericho's podcast, he says Cody came up with a really cool idea for an "event entrance" for Jericho at Double or Nothing that they're going to use.
