It's not just new scenes. The movie only covers the first 3 volumes of the 6 volume manga. The ending is taken from the end of the manga, but there are tons of subplots, characters and threads that are not covered in the movie.I've seen Akira 100 times, but what do these new scenes add? I'm cool with the original, put me on that bus.

Hypersonic remix (Dolby TrueHD), 2001 remix (AC3) and original 1988 Dolby Stereo mix (PCM) are included. English sub and dub too, most likely the 2001 Pioneer dub.
This.Day fucking 0 for the 4k Remaster. Please do it in Dolby vision. This thing needs love
The Genga art book is also going for silly prices, despite only being released a few years back. It's a beautiful book, but not worth that kind of money.I thought you were joking. Then I checked Ebay.
I paid £8 for that 20+ years ago, and think I still have it.
I'm laughing! :D

This thread is now about the greatest on-screen villain performance of all fucking time.
Yeah I have a feeling it won't be animated at a full 24fps like the original film...
Ehh, not worth it. Its a highpoint in hand drawn animation and them putting together preumably very solid story/directing wise, but inferior looking series aint worth it
I await for the new series to be revealed as being completely 3D.

Cool, because it's neither.I come from the past, where successful reboots/re-imagining of classics almost always fail
