I guess Santana and Ortiz will continue to get buried.Sammy wins ironically keeping everyone trapped in the Inner Circle forever.
I agree, but on the other hand, I don't think anyone was actually blading or anything. People just get busted open during matches.I enjoyed a lot the PPV. Feels good to finally dig AEW. Though there are still things that I can't get over, like the pointless bleeding in some matches. What was the point of Moxley bleeding for example? Having people bleeding for nothing only depreciates it for when it's actually earned. Anyway, that rant aside, the PPV was really good for the most part. The triple threat was MOTN
You're in for a treat. Top 3 of the night. You know what the best part of tonight is? I missed the Deeb/Riho match so now I get to end the night on that!
Yeah, exactly how I feel.AEW is at their best when they become a variety show of all types of wrestling. This PPV nailed that. Some parts were weaker than others but there were high points in each one. Feels good to be a fan of wrasslin.

Cody thinks he's John Cena circa 2006 but he's actually Bo Dallas circa 2013.I think this was the best PPV they've done by far, especially the last few matches which were amazing. Only meh part was the Cody match, honestly can't believe he's still being presented as a face when everything he does screams heel
@ me when Ibushi shows up.
Cody beating a guy who is 2-0 who has only been a wrestler for 18 months, while still making that guy look like a legitimate threat makes sense to me.The logic of taking QT Marshall and giving him a heel push seemingly on the strength of being Cody's friend and very little else, and giving him an angle where he gets his own stable full of guys whose entire premise seems to be they feel overlooked and are being overshadowed by Cody, only to have QT and friends proceed to get their asses kicked by Cody at every opportunity, does this make sense to anyone? Everything Cody does seems so detached from the rest of AEW.

Been discussing it with some friends I watched the PPV with. They think Santana and Ortiz will be fine. But they will always play second fiddle to Jericho and Sammy as long as they stay in a group together I think.

QT is a talented guy who I enjoy watching work, but there is no value in having him go over a talent who draws like Cody.
This will be put to the test for the Page/Kenny title matchAEW proving that booking being predictable doesn't matter if it's the right story and you trust your performers to get matches over. If the performers can convince the audience of an upset for even a moment it's a success.
Donehey RBH, could you add a poll to the thread asking for folks' match of the night? I'm really interested.
Gotcha. That's hard to believe. Crowd was fire the whole night. No, a few people on twitter confirmed that the crowd was super into the last match on the screen and you could see the ending of the match that everyone was still there.
Some people are just passing comments as usual but it's not the case
Eddie's smile when he was walking to the ring was cathartic. The camera was focused on Mox, but you could just see the emotion on Eddie.Best part of the show was the pop for Hangman (and Eddie/Mox).
Pretty great show, only real disappointment was Britt vs Shida. Cody vs Ogogo was the piss break I expected it to be.
It's great to have a live crowd back
Me waiting for Santana and Ortiz to get pushed along with Fenix's main event run
Also.
Personally shout outs to Spears.
I really like "Unhinged sociopath chair man who really shouldn't be allowed outside" as a character trait.
