You can like and enjoy porn while also admitting that filming your (probably shitty, let's be honest) porn flick in the middle of the day at a public library is a pretty shitty thing to do. Anyone who thinks there's no chance of kids being there at that time clearly knows nothing about libraries and should go educate themselves about the role that libraries play in a lot of communities before continuing to participate in the conversation.

As someone occasionally working in libraries that shit sounds disgusting and frustrating. Keep your gomorrahite ways somewhere private. Controlling your horny level is impossible in 2020+ though so nothing really surprising.

NSFW is just shorthand for porn in 2020. It has nothing to do with actually being concerned that someone is going to click on it at work. They were banned for direct linking to porn which, regardless of what anyone thinks this forum should be, everyone knows will get you banned

Boy's club behavior? And no response from the mods to explain it? I thought this place was all about transparency? GAF might not have had enough of it, but at least bans felt consistent and not like they simply hurt one mod's feelings...

The reason given is " Posting NSFW material " and my point is that this doesn't literally mean it's an employment issue. It's just what people call porn today and posting porn is against the rules

The boys club ban is an entirely different ban/issue/user

You're right, I didn't see that post though I think it really just reflects the poor decision of putting justification for the rule in the terms. It's not really important why the rule exists (in reality, 99% of the rules on this site are based on the whims of the owner of the previous site from which they are carried over -- including this one).

I'm surprised she didn't get hit with a harsher punishment especially since she was outside an elementary school in one instance. In some states that could immediately put you on the sex offender list.

They're so used to porn being shot everywhere some of them ask if you're shooting a video if they catch you getting a BJ in public. If you say yes they'll usually just say to stop and walk away

Seriously though, no one is ever 100% safe from a mod's ego being shattered to the point where they ban someone because they feel they're made fun of for weird decisions/actions. Not everyone should have power. But at the end of the day, when you discuss things like these you've always got to be prepared to eat a ban.

Seeing this ban is also ridiculous, the standards for various warnings and bans is sort of all over the place.

Might wanna be careful. Complaining about your ban, whether it was deserved or not, may lead to them banning you again, it's happened a few times

You know what would be an interesting idea? This site should set up an appeals page for bans. It could work like this:


• Create a new section of the site called "Appeals."

• Member has the option to only appeal non permanent bans.

• If the member chooses to appeal, a new thread is created in the Appeals section with a link to the offending post/thread.

• The member can only make the first post in the thread (still effectively banned from the rest of the site), where they make their case. They get only that one post.

• A poll is setup to convict or acquit. The only people who can vote are site staff/mods and the people who were in the thread. All votes are anonymous. Any body caught trying to manipulate the votes is permanently banned.

• If you win, the ban is lifted. If you lose, the ban is doubled.


This is unlikely to happen, but it would be a very interesting social experiment.

That ban is doubled thing would get ugly quick, would also favor certain posters over others depending on their "popularity". The mods love doing everything behind closed doors, no way they'd do this.

Yeah there has been an increase in "I don't like this" bans over the past year or so.

The fapping post doesn't seem to talk about anything in the thread at all. So I kiiiinda get it. I find stuff like that 3D printed horny 2B statue thread getting locked a couple weeks ago to be more frustrating.

The strictness around hornyposting does make sense since underage lurkers can visit the site, though.
